I’ve seen to many deer lost with the mechanicals,I myself have not used them because of that.Ive been using two blade broadheads for a while now.And sharp sharp.
@WhitetailobsessionoutdoorsАй бұрын
Nice. When people first started using them years ago they were shooting the original rages and they were junk. Since then mechanicals are a great option.

I learned something new. Of course I haven’t bow hunted since 1986 and I didn’t know anything back then. To shoot behind the rib cage thank you sir. And the benefit of a mechanical broadhead again thank you, sir.

Your welcome. I learned that when I first started bow hunting. In those hard quartered away shots always behind that last rip. Devastating shot

Been shooting rage. I think ive tried about every rage out and i love the hypodermic trypans. They fly great and perform well

I shot rage for years but in 2022 I changed to mega meat by g 5 and for me best broadhead I ever used !! Been bow hunting since the 80s and will never go back to a fix blade they just not big enough hole !! Thank you for this video
@WhitetailobsessionoutdoorsАй бұрын
Awesome. Yeah I love the bigger hole as well. There’s pros and cons to both but I’ll stick with the mechanical

I just got into a hybrid, it has a fixed broad head with two mechanical blades as well..
@WhitetailobsessionoutdoorsАй бұрын
Very cool. Haven’t looked into them yet.
@CampPerry1970Ай бұрын
@ I can’t remember the name of them since I threw the package away. The broad head is a single piece that leads the entry of an animal, then the mechanical blades open from force. My local archery shop talked me into these a few weeks ago. They similar to the Grim Reapers, when I go back to the Pro Shop I’ll find out the name for you..

I like magnus stinger or dead ringer the butchers. Fixed two blades with bleeders. Hand sharpened to paper cutting sharp. Most forgiving penetration wise around the shoulder blade if you dont have a perfect shot or things dont go right if the deer jumps the string or you hit some brush etc. Failed to find a buck that i hit a shoulder blade on with a grim reaper mechanical and swore off mechanicals after that
@tellyourfriendsaboutme4219Ай бұрын
I get running mechanical broadheads though, not trying to say I'm better just saying why I go with what I do. Probably just superstition
@WhitetailobsessionoutdoorsАй бұрын
I can see that for sure. Pros and cons to both.
@georgehelzer7569Ай бұрын
The best broadhead is a well placed sharp one.
@WhitetailobsessionoutdoorsАй бұрын
Absolutely. Mistakes do happen tho.
@scottyflaker6507Ай бұрын
3 years, never had a deer go more than 60 yards with rage 2in. Only ethical shots of course. Blood trail is massive.
