I don't think reviewers talk about player counts often enough. It was good to see you devote a segment to that particular topic. Good review too!

+NikoTeaJay Thank you. Player count stands out to me more in some games than others. With Quartermaster General, player count really seemed to have an impact on my personal enjoyment level. I'll be sure to mention player count in games where I think it's relevant. :)

+NikoTeaJay I've played this solo and yes, player count is brutal (I use a dice and random card selection on playing out of turn cards). I've never had a game where 6 players is actually a good thing. 2 players works too, but it's super easy because you can set up nasty combos.

fantastic game, it gets better the more you play it. I've had the privilege of playing a couple of games with Ian brody. great with excactly 6 players.

It's a great game. It is definitely best with 6, but it does play ok with 2 if you are willing to play the 3 factions. It's a rare game that really plays and flows well with 6, and I like the team aspect of it. It's been a hit at the conventions I've brought it out at because it's easy to start up. It lends itself to a good story and conversation at the table. To enjoy it I think you have to let go of some expectations like you said, and also enjoy the chemistry of the deck because each nation has certain strengths. A 6 player team game that takes 90 mins or less but gives you an epic sort of feel is a pretty unique achievement.

+Jeremiah Faustino That's true. Or, should I say, "Indeed!" :)

Everyone should go into the game realizing it is waaaaaaay easier to win as the Allies; quite difficult to win as the Axis. Right now, my gaming group is trying to solve the riddle: how can we win as the Axis? It's tough.

+El Hachemi Bouali It helps if you know how many card types are in each nation's deck. It can help you figure out where to go or who to take out first. This is one of my fave war-not-war games and Axis usually jump out early and then the Allies come storming back (which is exactly how I envision a WW2 game to unfold). I've won with both sides.

This adds to my view on QMMG - it looks an interesting game, but it's not a fit for my group, unfortunately. Thanks, it was a good, and helpful, review
