I fucking love it. Best default AR imo. It can do basically everything, and the only big downsides are no compensator and no soft point ammo. Of course, if you’re enough of a crackhead to go for aurax ARs...

One thing I've seen in myself is psyching yourself out of the fact that most starter guns are really good. When I had a decent number of hours under my belt I found myself forgetting I equipped a starter gun and popping off, only to realize the gun I assumed was bad was carrying. IMO it's worth it to buy another gun even if it's worse than rhe starter just to let you know that you suck, not just this one gun.

A note on the TORQ-9: since the weapon patch rework, it can now use impact ammunition (so 125 damage regardless of range) at the cost of less bullets per mag (34 vs 40). With a compensator and a grip, you can easily melt people heads at any range. It is easily a must-have / must-try for anyone without ASP and no Dragoon as secondary weapon.

The Arbalest is unironically my favorite AR in the game followed closely by the lacerta. I just find it easy to use and visually unique along with the other MG line weapons

The cycler TRV lets you go toe to toe with heavies and come out the victor so many times, love it for that reason. Although the T1 Cycler is still one of the best weapons, let alone one of the best stock weapons in the game.

All the burst variants both AR and Carbines are absolute beasts if you can time your shots to maximize your rate of fire. They are accurate and can spit out lead like their automatic brethren when given the chance.

Basically the VS directives except SMG and pistol, and then the fortuna and Godsaw. Kraken is fun but not worth the post-nerf grind, maybe unlock it for one of your characters, but not all.

The butcher looks cool and is fun to run around with and if you play heavy assault a lot relatively easy to get but the weird recoil pattern honestly makes the 150 mag much less useful than it sounds on paper

I really love the idea of directive weapons, i just wish they would rework them to being viable. Like i understand you dont want a straight upgrade that pushes new players away. Its just sad that your reward for a decent grind is a worse version of a startergun or 1000 certs. At this point id just be happier with a skinned armistice than a poop gun.

Everything in the video seems pretty accurate to me, but as a TR medic main, there are a few things that I think are worth mentioning but that probably didn't fit in this format of video. The SABR-13 is one of the few long-range weapons limited in CQC by it's fire mode instead of rate of fire. This makes it remarkably spamable at close range, and it's ability to double-tap heads up close is exceptional. The TORQ-9's combination of solid recoil, good velocity, and only one tier of damage falloff make it possibly the best suppressor host in the whole game. It's viable with almost all attachment options, but the combination of SPA + suppressor has remarkably few downsides other than the loss of velocity, which you won't miss much at most ranges. T1B is a fairly solid rifle stat-wise but other than needing another gun to Auraxium, I haven't found a compelling reason to use it over the SABR-13, which just does everything a little better IMO. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here though. Anyway, great video, glad to see the TR getting some more love.

should mention that the damage fall off works more like this: 167-150 = the same time to kill, 149-125 = the same time to kill, 124-100 = the same time to kill, so with the torq putting a silencer on it instantly increases the time to kill. whilst with the t1 cycler (143-125) it does not.

I'm looking at it from a raw damage per second view, which is basically identical between the Cycler and TORQ up to their max damage range. If I'm doing my math right, the DPS of both guns with a suppressor is even out to about 35m, where the TORQ's falloff stops and it takes the lead in DPS. A suppressed TORQ should also have more DPS than an unsupressed Cycler past about 45m. The point to all that is that the TORQ's effectiveness at range even with a suppressor and SPA is limited almost exclusively by it's velocity, which is still a workable 465 m/s or 475m/s depending on how those multipliers stack.

i have found that the tar is best on a medic with really high mobility. its even better if you have catlike and know that it lets you scale some vertical faces. for example 3:50, maxed catlike allows you to climb those walls and enter from the balcony. around 3/4 of the people you run into wont expect a medic or engi to enter from there.

I just araxed t1 cycler as a new player and my first ever auraxed gun, now I am enjoying a lot with t1b because gun does all the job that I "a newbie" fail. Also I slapped 4x on it since bullet velocity is sniper level good and I rarely win gun fights.

SABR with a straight grip and a 3.4x scope is amazing. I've 1v2'd heavy assaults with it because every shot is laser beamed to their heads. Over 80% or my shots on that thing are headshots and it only takes 2 squeezes of the trigger to down an enemy. It's way more reliable than the bullet hose that the TRV is.

As a player who's outfit went all faction, I need to know what tr AR that is not the T1 Cyc so I have some thing to work towards. Any ideas? I'm looking for some thing like the Carnage AR. Meaning lots of daka into the target's sternum. I have this strange need to have a more... "temperamental" weapon so when I actually get a kill with it, I feel satisfied.

Man this vid and the one focused on the ARbalest, ya seemed weird consider it a CQC? Through on stabilizing Rotars, the Ammo attachment, foregrip and a 3.4 x Scope, and I've been consistently getting kills where most AR's I've used struggled. In CQC, its a bit rough, I tend to usually loose the fights to higher ROF stuff, but when the enemy ain't in yer face? She shines!

I played a lot with the infamous Arbalest at long-mid range, at the point i wonder why people say is one of the worst AR in the game (except in CQC, i prefer to use my sidearm pistol over the Arbalest). My swissknife is the T1S; i really love the underbarrel grenade launcher, and i finished many MAX and some Lightings whit it. But, i must confess, i dont really like nor fell comfortable with none of the TR assault rifles; i started playing this game in the NC and i really fall in love with the Gauss S, and though i know the T1S is the "equivalent" i simply dont feel it so reliable, accurate and good looking as the Gauss S (also the grenade reloading animation is not broken) and, if i would to choose, that would be may favorite gun in the entire game.

TL:DR for TR Carbines if anyones interested: Trac-5 is not bad. Its great Lynx is an absolute BEAST at CQC. No really, Carbine caliber damage with SMG hipfire accuracy and RoF, with a nice 40 round magazine. Just dont bother past 15 meters. ALL HAIL THE KINDRED. The rest are okay.

This video makes me feel like almost all TR weapons lack in faction flavor.I wish we had bigger mags and lower damage with higher rate of fire(not for all guns but the ones that aim to be faction specific like the Tar. They are not underpowered but what do we have that other factions don't? (infantry wise) The VS has the lasher and betelegeuse, NC has the Godsaw and the Phoenix.These are interesting weapons with a new mechanic, TR has nothing like this

Striker is so goddamn overpowered that taking esfs to the TR front is nearly worthless. that is a faction trait that the other factions wish they fucking had. the TR also has the best in class AR's. and not just ONE. but every single one of them except the T1S is a best in class AR. and AR's are the strongest gun. TR also has the MCG which is a very easy to use LMG thats one of the only weapons in the entire game that you legitimately prefire with (which is one of the most powerful tactics for pushing in fps games.) TR's faction flavor is more bullets, not weaker bullets.

Medic TR tip: buy the Cycler, regret it and feel useless because it kicks like a mule, buy the TORQ, love it for a while, go back to the Cycler and realize it's the TORQ with no training wheels and you can handle it now

nice guide. I agree with all but the Torq-9 , like the arbalest the torq-9 is garbage. it's tiny boost of accuracy at medium range does not make up for it's lower dps and less damage per mag. I mainly use the TAR and occasionally the SABR-13.

I used to hate TORQ too, but over the course of Auraxing it on my engi, I went from terrible to viciously deadly with it. TORQ's a solid gun which doesn't recoil or bloom away from headshots, so when you're aiming for them accurately, you will kill FAST, very consistently.

TL:DR of VS assault rifles: Pulsar = weaker dps but is a laserbeam with nearly no recoil at all, hv45 has as good dps as the TR's TAR, whilst also having the 0.75 ads speed of the TAR, and the recoil only goes up, meaning it has good hipfire (laser) and is amazing versatile. the Terminus is similar to the hv45 but has a less agreeable recoil pattern but due to its slower dps (769 rpm 143 dmg per shot, vs the hv45's 800/143) its a lot easier to learn and perfect than the hv45. and the Lacerta is an incredibly powerful burst gun with good hipfire, great recoil and 600 rpm at 167 dmg per shot (equivilent to 723 rpm 143 dmg per shot) and like all burst variants has no recoil inaccuracy for repeated firing. thats the tldr of the vs guns, all the other ones are not worth using in any situation as there are better, or are fundamentally flawed.

NC and VS need buffs nearly across the board on their pistols to bring them up to par with the TR's. as it stands theres no reason to use a non NS pistol on NC or VS, whilst on TR you have the TX1 (a pocket smg) TS2 (a pocket primary) TX2 (a pocket vandal, nc has one too called the rebel), VS has no good pistols, and nc only has the rebel. and its silly and should be made public

Technicaly, AR are the most powerfull guns in the game, and medics usually dont use their guns constantly, since they spend their time in healing. So, to compensate and keep balance, they are the only ones that can use AR. If fight focused clases like light or heavy assaults could use AR (something apparently logic) probably more than the 90% of them would use it and they became unstopable.

You really don't like the Arbalest, huh? Its best feature is the its precision, and the recoil isn't anywhere near as bad as you make it out to be. It has the best ADS cone of fire stats of any TR AR (only loses to the SABR in standing still). The recoil, while it may be random, is actually less than most of the other ARs in the TR's arsenal.

I'm 40 kills away from auraxing the TORQ and tbh i never want to see this gun ever again. the 125 damage is so crippling against any decent player i find it unusable. If you're a medic on TR the cycler is your best friend.

My first gun and love on PS2.

It's a downgrade to the T1 Cycler, it comes with a compensator and soft point ammo, both of which are useless on the T1 cycler and provide negative effects.

@@k0bra3eak40 it is on the t1 cycler, as it gains nothing from staying at 143 dmg over 125 dmg. as the ttk with both is the same. so its just a downgrade for velocity making the gun weaker at doing what it does best: being fucking amazing at literally everything.

Today I learned that routers can be seen by the enemies which really suck. Why make the game so easy? Rather have spotting system once someone finds it. There goes last fun of the constructions. I wish I could get my certs back.

TR weapon design doesn't make any sense. Arbelist is trash and the SABR would make more sense as a 3 round burst option considering TR is about amount of 'dakka'.

to be honest these weapons look awful in terms of design also sound shit as weill. thats what PS2 needs, some good lookin guns and good meaty weapon sounds. they all sound like plastic or i dunno

Yea a lot of the older guns have absolutely TERRIBLE modells for TR. Also TR does need some Bullpubs. So maybe redo all the old modells...they did it before.
