1960 my family and I (age 11) lived next to the Camel Stop Gas Station in a small shack for about 5 wks. We would get orange crush sodas out of a box refrig. container, from the owner's brother. Only buildings there was the gas station, that building next door, a bar/food store and lots of snakes and scorpions! LOTS. We didn't hate it, but we sure was glad to leave and move to Eagle Mountain, CA; Dad worked for Kaiser Steel.
