Thank you! The albums that have the songs that are overplayed always suffer on my lists. There’s no Queen album I don’t like other than Cosmos Rocks which barely counts but We are the champions or we will rock you kind of kills this one’s replayability. Only Spread Your Wings, It’s Late and Sheer Heart Attack are what I come back for.

I live reading other people’s lists and analyze them! The last 3 in the top 3. Interesting. It’s not typical like Opera or Sheer at the very top. Are they your entry point albums? They always rank highest when people give an honest true to their liking lists. Your not huge on the 80’s though. Magic, flash and The Game are low. The 70’s make up the whole mid section with the dark horse Jazz all the way at #5! You probably could make a really good playlist that totally would be fresh that strayed from the norm.

@@BlackTerror If by entry point you mean, introduction to Queen, Opera and Sheer were those for me. But the last three became my tops pretty quickly. (And the Miracle is pretty close to overtaking Innuendo!) This being a god honest ranking, a few of the 80's ones have deserved placings, like the Works and Flash (the only "sub-par" Queen albums imho), but the others being lower than they should be (ie Magic and Queen 1) is prob due to the fact that Queen's good albums outnumber their bad ones. And as for making fresh, abnormal playlists---I've done that, multiple times.

Great Video, I apperciate that you don't go with what everyone else thinks, Yes I think NOTW should be higher but you aren't like everyone who puts it in the top 5, I think it should be but I like the fact that you like different parts of Queen that others might not like, such as Hot Space, I agree with you about them playing those songs live, Staying Power is amazing live! I am with you about the Miracle song, I know most Queen fans love that song but I really don't like it much. Also I agree Scandal is one of the best songs ever!! My favorite song is tied with March Of the black Queen and its Late. I love Queen !

Thanks for watching! All my lists have at least one WTF album ranking in there. I think most real fans have them, if not your not digging deep enough. My Elton John list if full of them. NOTW has some awesome stuff besides WWRY and WATC, It's Late (it absolutly rules), Sheer Hear Attack, Spread Your Wings, but its the album I probably listened to the least despite being one of the first I ever got. The big songs are played out and the duds I skip over. If I had to rank the album outside of my listening preference and as if I never heard it before it would be #7 or #8. I hope on the next tour with Adam Lambert, they finally play Scandal live. He'd kill singing it!

My top 3: 1) Innuendo - like rock legends should sound. 2) A day at the races - prog rock at is best. 3) Greatest Hits 3 - a fantastic compilation +.

My favorite Queen compilation is Classic Queen, the original US version of Greatest Hits 2. That album and Live at Wembley are actually my two favorite Queen albums but they didn’t really fit the video. My favorite albums by most of my favorite bands are usually old out of print or outdated greatest hits albums.

My jaw actually dropped with NOTW being at #15. 1000% agree with we will rock you and we are the champions being played out, but the rest of the album is still top tier. Don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone rank it so low, but fair play, it’s all own opinions at the end of the day!

I always got a controversial one in almost every list. It’s not that I hate NOTW but Queen’s catalog is so good that an album like that gets lost in the shuffle. Too Late is awesome but side 2 I don’t revisit much.

Now that’s what I’d call a pretty controversial list. But I like it! For me all albums from the Game-Made in Heaven are squarely at the bottom. Half love it/Half disdain for it affairs. So I’ll rank the seventies albums here Queen Queen II Sheer Heart Attack A Night at the Opera A Day at the Races Jazz News of the World. As for the albums afterwards. I’ll go on a limb and say The Miracle was the best one. But the great think about all these albums are I still like half of them and avoid the vaunted “sell off” status. 😂 That being said. Ironically in my view I think the best post seventies Queen songs are “Gimme the Prize” and “Princes of the Universe”.

I love Queen but yeah, the 80’s were full of filler tracks next to total classics. Magic had One Vision but also Pain is so close to Pleasure on it. I don’t think any of those albums were bad though I can forgive the occasional stinker like Delilah. To me The Miracle was the weakest but the double disc that came out a few years ago with all the demos was fascinating. All the songs were made with live instruments but half of them ended up with fake bass and drums. Breakthru was a good song but was almost great if they finished the song sounding like the demo. The stuff they played off Hot Space live was killer compared to the album. I noticed you haven’t mentioned Cosmos Rocks. If you haven’t heard it you can skip that one. It’s very very not good.

Nothing really controversial here except maybe Cosmos Rocks beating out The Miracle (I Want It All alone should edge it out for me), but I like every Queen album and can see a debate for all of them ranking high on top best to worst lists. The Flash Gordon soundtrack is very important to me because it made me want to play guitar. My other favorite hobby besides collecting vintage toys. Innuendo was one of the last albums I bought because almost half the songs were on Classic Queen (Greatest Hits 2 in the US) the was blown away finally hearing the title track and Hitman. It was low on my list but Hot Space is underrated. Yes I hate Body Language like I said in the video but the live rendition of stuff from that album is killer. They would have stayed on top in the US if they did them that way on record like Staying Power.

@@BlackTerror Hot Space is not the best Queen album but it's the second I've heard after Innuendo back in 93, so maybe because of that I like it more than others do. The album has also a special sound to it, an identity...I like it. Cosmos Rocks is in front of The Miracle is because I figured that I like 2,5 songs on it and on the The Miracle just 2 (I Want it all and The Miracle). Kind of Magic is low on my ranking, maybe it should be higher - but I only like 3 songs on it as well so. "Rocks" was a almost a perfect 1 cd compilation with Queen, with only rock/hardrock/metal tracks on it. I could never think of a better suitable soundtrack for Flash Gordon than Queen's. It makes the movie so much better.

I personally think thatthe Miracle is Queens most underrated album. Sure it’s not as cohesive as something like Queen II, however, considering the fact that Freddie Mercury had gotten his AIDS diagnosis two years prior I think the members might have felt a sense of time constraints cause they didn’t know how long Freddie had left so it was propably like, let’s just get a final album out there Incase there wasn’t an innuendo which I would agree is superior in comparison. The songs I think are really good like Khasoogis Ship, the Miracle, I Want it All, Invisible Man, Scandal and propably Queens greatest track of the 1980s In Was It all Worth it, (my personal favorite song on the album), serving as the possible closeout for Queen in case this were to be the last thing they would be able to Record together. To me Hot space by far Queens weakest album. As a Queen album it’s bad. As a disco album it’s a piece of funk that isn’t fun. Songs like Dancer, Staying Power, Back Chat and Body Language I find so just distasteful and such a departure som songs like Death On Two Legs, Brighton Rock, Ogre Battle and Keep yourself alive. First time I heard the album I was like “what is this?” Granted there are few decent songs on it like Put out the Fire, Under Pressure and Las Palabras de Amor that manage to salvage it. Here’s my ranking: 15) Flash Gordon 14) Hot Space 13 Made in Heaven (just leftovers) 12) Jazz (production rings so Hollow) 11) A Kind of Magic (two minds in one body) 10) The Works (first real Queen album of the 1980) 9) Queen (unpolished, but simple enough for enjoyment) 8) A Day at the Races (poor cousin of ANATO) 7) The Miracle 6) News Of the World 5) Sheer Heart Attack 4) Queen II 3) Innuendo 2) A Night at the Opera 1) Queen- Greatest hits, (yeah it shouldn’t count, but it’s my ranking)

I don’t not like The Miracle, I just like just about every album more unfortunately, despite having three really great songs (scandal and I want it all, was it all worth it). You forgot The Game in your list! Classic Queen (The US Greatest Hits 2 with BoRhap) is actually my favorite despite being disqualified. The live versions of the Hot Space songs are killer. After they made the album and listened to it they probably realized they goofed up and played them heavy. Dancer was good though! Actually all the Brian May songs were the best stuff on it. He was the only one not screwing around on that album.

Black Terror just for a quick redo: 5) The Game 4) Sheer Heart Attack 3) Queen II 2) Innuendo 1) A Night at the Opera Thanks for pointing it out! On the miracle, besides the songs you just mentioned, Breakthru is very nice, Invisible Man is a lot of fun. Khasoogi Ship is kinda cool. I usually skip Rain Must fall and My Baby Does Me cause I don’t like them Also, I don’t really like to mix 70 and 80s Queen together cause I find them stylistically so different. 70s is very bombastic and is very much progressive rock. 80s Queen is more of a pop rock band where songs are shorter and using synthesizer, altough the old school Queen does occasionally comes trough in songs like Tear It Up, Hammer to Fall and The Show Must Go On. For Hot Space, if that album had come out around 1976-1978, Queen fans would’ve been praising it. The problem is that it came out to late m and so that’s why we don’t embrace it as much as the rest

Strangely with most of my favorite bands I am a big fan of their 80's work over their classic 70's works (Elton John, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Genesis). Queen I don't think I have a favorite period for studio albums but live I do prefer 80's moustache Freddie. His voice wasn't as high but he rocked more.

Black Terror i do agree that I prefer Queen live in the 80s, but I personally prefer their 70s catalogue over their 80s stuff. I just think there’s a lot more variety to it and also I do think it suffers a bit from the 80s production, so it doesn’t leave as much of an impact, but still a lot of fun:)

For me it’s like this: Party: meh khashoogi’s Ship: okay The miracle: lyrically great. Musically odd I want it all: Awsome The Invisible Man: fun Breakthru: dated and hokey, but I enjoy it Rain Must Fall: nah Scandal: Awsome My Baby Does me: awful Was it all worth it: Best Queen song out of the 1980’s
