I think Viserys would've been the only one to take Halaena's rantings seriously as he had a strong belief in prophecy, even if he only had the one dream. He'd have been fascinated by what she was saying, but may not have understood she was foretelling things that were happening before his eyes because he couldn't see the people he trusted the most were plotting against him. I'm surprised she functioned as well as she did. There are examples of other dragon dreamers driven to near madness because of their horrific dreams.

During the Driftmark episode, it seemed like Viserys was paying attention to what Helaena was saying when during her “dragons of flesh” prophecy.

@@W4TSKY, I'll have to go back and rewatch the episode. I'd like to think Viserys had a fondness for Halaena and tried to comfort her rather than turn a blind eye like Alicent did.

I'm so sick at the way Alicent treated Helaena here bcs on EP1 she said her father never listen to her and now she's doing that to Helaena!? Is she even listen to herself back then?

How f***ed up it is that Helaena and Rhaenyra didn’t bond as sisters all because of the men in their lives. Yes Queen Alicent played a part in it but her dad is to blame as well. Seriously it pisses me off that these sisters didn’t bond as sisters. And that Daemon targeted Helaena’s children instead of Aemond but I understand that he wanted to send a message. Aaaah! Sorry y’all…I get sick when I think of Helaena’s life because she never asked for it and her children didn’t do anything. In my world Ser Harwyn Strong takes his boys, Helaena, Rhaenyra, and Laenor to dragon stone and says f*** King’s Landing. Ok…sorry….again

Martin himself at some point said something to the effects that the books that relate to house of the dragon are told by maesters and that the show is actual truth. This doesn't extend to got, this was just Martin talking on house of the dragon. So if show is truth then yes helaenah is like the show. However I tend to think the way the characters look in the books is cannon because Martin said his quotes about the story, not a characters looks, and they slipped a messed up line in the finale. In books rhenyese has dark hair and purple eyes, in show they don't do color contacts because those can be bad for eyes. In show rheynese is blonde but we know if she actually has dark hair it is infact cuz she is part baratheon. Just sharing this because in your vid you talk of dreamfyres first owner and because she liked animals, and here we see haelenah with her bugs, I think it's kind of a similarity and foreshadowing

I rather like both book Helaena and show Helaena in appearance, both just look right to me(especially show version, never trusted the books after all "history is told by the Victor's" )

@@redadmiralofvalyria867 most older fanart is from books, so I'll assume they were very close with helaenah, only one I literally can't find is alicent. I'm assuming she still has dark hair and high towers seem unremarkable but if you see vids on empire of the dawn, they list high towers as old family. I'm beginning to think purple eyes are more important than hair color, however there is a old family a character had purple eyes but Martin said it's not to do with valarryia

But they have already changed things from the book that are too extreme. In the show Alicent and Rhaenyra are the same age and friends, in the book that wasnt true. Alicent was also mistaken by the old King Jaeherys as his daughter, so she looked Valyrian. Also, the Valeryon family ....if the show is the truth, then the books were way off on getting ages, appearances, and relationships correct. I think George is just in it for the money. He isnt thinking straight. There are a lot of things on the show that just dont make sense when compared to the books. The books are way better.

I'm not so sure listening to haelenah could have made certain things not happen though because prophesy comes in snippets, they can't seem to interpret it right, and Otto and alicent and aemond and aegon are too much the fools to fix anything. Alicent and Otto are ambitious and prideful, power went to aegons head and aemond is a less chill daemon, there's no hope for them really. I'm just thinking all the times in show when Otto and alicent got the smug haha we win but, then when they realize they lost they look about to poop a brick. My list is:. When reneryah shows up and gets her brothers egg from daemon, when viserys allows daemon back to court, when viserys comes down and tells family reneryah is still heir and her son's still get inheritance before he died, and then you got Otto going to dragon stone to attempt to give reneryah terms, then there was rhenyese at the coronation. Like what are the high towers expecting, rhenyese isn't loyal to reneryah over blackmail, no, she is just loyal to everyone else and won't take part in bribes

Well if they're so terrible at interpreting their own prophetic dreams, than isn't it possible that the prophecy carved into the knife is also misinterpreted, so isn't that the real downfall of the dynasty.
