The Historical Significance of the tiara itself speaks for itself worn by a woman who reigned for 70 years. However, I would love to see whoever Prince George's Future Wife IS wear it on their Wedding day as well. Marrying the Great-Grandson QEII. I know Princess Anne & Princess Beatrice has worn it in the past before but seeing that first glimpse of it on the next generation of Royals would be amazing.
@nancyanne1402

No it should be a blood princess. Specifically if George marries a commoner as his father did. Catherine and William will be sure to teach George and his bride the proper use of tiaras. A smaller tiara for George’s wife, perhaps the one his own mother wore would be proper.
@marblehead2500

No, it would not be appropriate for George’s bride to wear the fringe at her wedding. The fringe tiara is too grand for that unless she is a blood princess.

I love the word kokoshnik. The word references Russian headdresses. They are traditionally used by married women so it makes sense for the oldest Princess of the each generation to wear the fringe tiara, a kokoshnik tiara, for the wedding.
@chockie62
@chockie62 9 күн бұрын
Kokoshnik were worn by all women married and unmarried, it was offensive for a woman to be in public without a headdress, however a married woman wore a closed Kokoshnik with no hair showing and a unmarried woman wore an open Kokoshnik which was like a raised headband rather than a ‘hat’.

Its a lovely tiara and I hope you're right. I worry Prince William doesn't care so much for the pomp and ceremony and may not want so many tiaras on display but that may change. I'd also love to see Princess Charlotte in the Lotus Flower as she is named for Charles and that was his granny's tiara and he loved her so, also it'd be very appropriate for a young princess.

The fringe tiara is so beautiful, But I don't know if Princess Charlotte would wear this. The fringe tiara was never seen again since Princess Beatrice is wedding. She could wear a different tiara. The Cartier tiara is in a museum so that's out. She's still young so the princess has to wear a starter tiara before the main tiaras.

Thank you for clarifying the point that the Spencer tiara is not an option for Catherine or for Charlotte or for any royal! It seems to be an Internet rumour begun by people who don’t understand how these things work. Diana wore the tiara at her wedding because that’s the tradition of aristocratic women. And then she wore it to many events as the Princess of Wales because her only Royal tiara was the grand Lover’s Knot Tiara. She had nothing smaller for black tie events. It was really uncommon for a Princess of Wales to have to dig into her family’s collection to furnish her with a second tiara. I can only think it was her choice because we know that the British Royal vaults are full of tiaras of all sizes. She could’ve had something else and I’m sure that the late Queen would have furnished her with one if she had requested it.

Zara is the first born blood of her generation, older than William even. I don't think is such a “first born” thing but really an attachment to who wore it prior. Anne had the meander, the Cartier halo and the festoon tiara before her wedding, I think it was only fitting for a Queen's only daughter to wear her mother's tiara to her own wedding. Zara wore her mother's tiara instead of one of her grandmother's and I don't think for a second Her late Majesty would deny her granddaughter a tiara for her wedding. Beatrice is interesting because she also wore QEII's gown and I think she took the opportunity to wear her Granny's tiara as well. Even so, in the context of pandemic, when people needed reassurance of continuity and endurance of the Britain as it was, and it largely means the RF and its tradition. It was a nice touch of her to do that, people felt a sense of”keep calm and carry on” when they saw Beatrice in her Granny’s clothes and jewellery (and also it wasn't some unprecedented and highly expensive piece like Eugenie's, and in a context of a recession and pandemic, it was a smart move, tbh). But that’s just my thought on it. Anyway, great fashion content as always.

@RoyalFashionNews 9 күн бұрын
Actually, Zara is not the first born blood princess of her generation as she’s not a princess. That designation technically does belong to Beatrice. Thanks for watching!!

@@RoyalFashionNews yes, you are correct, many think that Princess Anne’s children didn’t get princely titles because she decided for them not to have them but they were never to get them automatically (as children of a Princess) like the children of Princes’ Charles, Andrew and Edward, however the Queen did offer for her children to have them and had Princess Anne have agreed then Queen Elizabeth would have had to issue a letters patent for it to happen. As to Prince Edward’s two children, they are Princess and Prince but their titles are in abeyance as Prince Edward and Sophie actioned it and made it that they could choose at 18 for themselves whether they would use the title or not.

The Gloucester jewellery belongs to the Duke of Gloucester and will not be subject to inheritance tax as when the current Duke of Gloucester passes there will be a new Duke of Gloucester (his son) so technically it still belongs to the Duke of Gloucester. Inheritance tax arises from distribution of assets to parties of other names and titles. The Monarch has no inheritance tax because the position of Monarch is inherent and so to are hereditary dukedoms, if Prince Richard had no male heir (he has a son, Alexander) then the title would revert to the crown and the jewellery would go to the crown collection to avoid inheritance taxes.

Imo…I don’t think Charlotte will wear it because Beatrice did. Nothing against Beatrice, I actually really like and her. Her sister….not so much lol But sadly, because of Andrew, all things Beatrice and Eugenie, is tarnished in some ways. Imagine the only daughter of the King (I imagine William will be King when Charlotte marries) wears the same tiara that your creepy estranged great uncle’s daughter wore. The daughter that would be 37733787 in line to the throne at the time 😂 It doesn’t matter that QE or Anne wore it first - it will always be remembered as Beatrice’s tiara. William & Catharine will ensure that Charlotte has her pick of any tiara her heart desires. Again, no disrespect to Beatrice, but C doesn’t need her hand me downs. She’d honour her own mother first, by wearing Catharine’s tiara, before she honours Fergie’s daughter.
