Queen Removal

We found a lot of queen cells in our hive last week. The colony attempted to swarm before we could do anything about it. I found the dead queen on the ground a couple of days ago, and now we are preparing the hive to receive a new queen.
We have been keeping bees since 2016. We are hobbyist beekeepers who started out with 2 hives in our backyard. After about a year, we discovered how quickly a colony can become too defensive to be kept in a neighborhood. Now we've got our bees outside of town on 10 acres.
Even after 8 years, we consider ourselves as newbie beeks, and we learn new things every season. The videos are mostly for our own consumption, but if you are watching, you are welcome to watch and we hope you find them informative.
