Thank you! I certainly did not know how to do this!

Is that hive strong enough to do comb honey? Never done it myself but have bee told that you need them to almost a swarm levels to get them to do it efficiently,

Thanks for the comment. This was going to be an experiment. These were swarm bees, which we anticipate will work quickly. Thanks to your comment, I've reconsidered, and swapped the Ross Rounds with another hive's medium. While the bees may have been able to fill it up, our removing the super would have left them with very little.

Can you give them a new queen? Somehow. That is sad.
@PKBees3 ай бұрын
It is sad. No, they will reject a new queen. We gave them an opportunity to make a new queen by giving them a frame of brood with eggs.

There is nothing else you can do? That other lady who works with bees has given a hive and queen in a clip.

The way those bees are aimlessly walking around the frames suggests to me that your hive is queenless. The best way to look for a queen is not to look for a queen. Get a flashlight for days when you are beekeeping when it is cloudy. Looking for one egg in the very bottom of the cells is the best way to know if you have a queen or not. Multiple eggs in each cell and usually not on the bottom of the cell represents a laying worker hive.
