This immense work is unfairly ignored. These days, although I have known it for 40 years, I became obsessed with her expressiveness and variations. It follows the line of Bohemian Rhapsody but instead a ballad, Freddie composed using waltz and classical resources, and inserts no one but two parts of furious rock. This, basically analyzed. One of my top favourite songs by Queen... it's got everything, really... Funny, serious, intimate, epic... it's a weird kind of progressive rock song in a way ! Magnificent instrumental part, one of Brian May's finest moments really ! ... Freddie's vocals are awesome, he sounds like a French female singer from the 30's sometimes... Well, I just love it. It's got a certain similarity with Bohemian Rhapsody, indeed. A mini operetta in less than 6 minutes.
