That song was written by John Deacon (the bassist) for his wife to their wedding 1975. They are still married.

From what I remember it's one of the songs John Deacon wrote about his wife,he's the Bass Player Roger Taylor on Drums also wrote quite a few songs and likewise Dr Brian May on Guitar not everything you hear will be written by Freddie he's just one of four very different and talented people who can do most everything for themselves

Night at the Opera, Queen's fourth Album has songs on side ONE written by all four of them individually, all are a good listen. You already did two from side two. Freddie - Death on Two Legs (dedicated to...) Roger - I'm in Love With My Car (Roger sings lead with Freddie and Brian singing backup) John - You're My Best Friend (Freddie Sings with all 3 backup) Brian - '39 (Brian Sings while playing 12 string acoustic with Freddie and Roger singing backup.) Four different song styles, and a lot of interesting instrument and vocal sounds. (nobody played synthesizer.)

Too bad you didn't see him when Freddie Mercury was live in concert because they were great in concert I saw him a total of 12 times in my lifetime and I'm 50 years old the first time I saw him was with Billy Squier and Def Leppard and that was back in 1983 to 85 is there definitely a good band to see live they put on a hell of a show it was well worth the money

@PrestigeWorldwide - Due to YT snafus, I’m not able to use the link you sent. I’m guessing it’s a Carnival Cruises ad with none other than ‘You’re My Best Friend’ as the music. I recall a cruise line ad using ‘I Want To Break Free.’ When I saw Carnival Cruises, I thought that must be it. Whether it’s ‘You’re My Best Friend,’ or ‘I Want To Break Free’ being used in an ad, I agree it kinda cheapens the song.
