Freddie is the voice from heaven!! This song is on my playlist every morning - usually the first or 2nd song i play. but not this version - the Odeon concert version is sublime, hypnotic and just downright excruciatingly beautiful! I am still astounded every time i hear it to realize someone could sing so beautifully! I like this version too and i am learning while taking a tour through Queen's catalog and watching countless hours of concerts and videos that one of the incredible things about Queen was that they delivered us multiple versions of songs. They'd give us the studio recording and then in concert, Freddie would add some inflection or stretch out some notes or Brian would add a guitar riff and you'd have a "new" song that just blows you away. They did it with Save Me, Play the Game and many others. It's phenomenal and my level of amazement with this legendary band just continues to grow!!

I first heard this song when I bought the album: 1994/96ish. I was swept away. I felt like a fish that discovered water. I relished it. No one I knew was listening to queen. Well, at least nothing that wasn't on the greatest hits. It felt like I was on my own planet. I would often make queen mix tapes. Half of them all ended with this. It was my closer. I sang this song the best I could ever since. This song ment a lot to me .

EVERY song. So many amazing compositions. And for everyone, there is a "favorite" or "best" song. Even the later, mid-80's stuff. And when you get to Innuendo, well, every song on that album is also a "best" song. So, in the final analysis, EVERY QUEEN SONG IS THEIR BEST SONG!! This band had No Fillers. Even the Beatles, Queens main inspiration, had fillers. Zeppelin had fillers. Every band in the history of Rock had fillers, except this band. Don't know how they managed this.

Always thought this was a better live concert finisher than we are the champions. It was always used to end their concerts up until 1977. More anthemic I think. That chorus sends shivers down my spine

+Yummy Sounds You are not alone at all in your sentiment. I had to stop singing along with this song, one of my favorite by Queen. I would get so overwhelmed with emotion every time the "outro" chorus would start building that I can't maintain proper breath support. Even with my personal decision, I still feel such an urge to join in with the "choir".
