Yep. I mentioned that People were comparing Avatar to this film, Disney's other film Pocahontas, and Dances with Wolves. But little do people know those films ripped off A few films with that premise. Call to the Wild was one, One of the episodes of Little House on the Prairie. So I don't think it's fair to compare Avatar to those movies. They're not unoriginal. They're still good films. But I think people need stop saying Avatar is a rip off when those other films ripped off other films too.

I just don't like how they made Kida completely clueless about how mundane objects in the surface work. She's too smart to nor figure it out quickly. I think she'd be way more baffled about western culture (probably appalled by it) and surprised to see that people in the surface have things like cars and planes and aren't mud eaters, considering how advanced the technology in Altantis is
@strrb8578Ай бұрын
I agree completely. I think her overall design, animation, and writing is very stereotypical "cute exotic savage girlie". Half naked, speaks with a sexy fake accent, unique traits like white hair and dark skin with light eyes, of course very beautiful, etc etc. There are various elements of the Atlantis overall design and culture that I find quite perplexing. They are, objectively, a very advanced civilization. And yet they walk around like freaking monkeys when you first meet them. With these masks that are quite typical of what western white people categorize as "the savage's mask". Imo, not to get too deep into that argument, Atlantis' artistic direction around the people of Atlantis is a true demonstration of western people tailoring a fake "exotic" culture to their fantasy of the savages, which we actually inherited from racist narratives. I think it's a very complex and interesting topic. And even though this movie is very good, it aged poorly in some aspects, especially the cultural lore building and over sexification of Kida.

I definitely agree, though I think the aim was to continue the joke from the movie where they get into a runaround about the crew's names and double meanings ("cookies are sweet but yours is not; Audrey is sweet but that is not her name; and the little digging creature called Mole-- he is your pet?")
@tasteadventures840127 күн бұрын
Yeah, the joke in the movie was that Milo is awkward and by himself a lot so he’s bad at explaining things. Kida would have gotten right away that the floatie floats by how light it is, Milo was pretty in character though 😅. Also the glass case scene is ridiculous, she can use weapons but doesn’t jump to violence to solve problems.

A sharp chin makes you look younger. I think the typical image of a Disney prince is a young guy who doesn't have seriousness and good physical strength. It would be very boring to watch a courageous hero who looks menacing and has developed physical strength. A sharp chin also relates to body type, stereotypically it has become so that thin characters most often have a pointed chin.

Platonic love is one of the strongest types of love, while romantic love is one of the weakest types of love. When a guy and a girl are best friends, they won't date or be in a romantic relationship with each other since they know it wouldn't work since they are too close. That proves that romantic love is inferior to platonic love. The best feeling for many girls is being able to have platonic guy friends that are like brothers to them. Most girls prefer having platonic guy friends over a boyfriend/husband. Many girls would choose their platonic male best friend over their boyfriend/husband and give more importance to them. Most girls seem to be more comfortable being around their platonic male best friends than they are being around their boyfriends/husbands. People are closer to their platonic best friends than they are to their romantic partner. People usually love their platonic best friend more than their romantic partner. Platonic love is actually real, while romantic love is fake. Romantic relationships are actually a downgrade compared to platonic relationships.
@TALE72710 күн бұрын
@icysnow57cold64 so what changes when you take platonic love to a romantic level???
@icysnow57cold646 күн бұрын
@@TALE727 Romance is ruining everything. This world would be a far better place if there was no romance. People would be far happier and doing much better if there was no dating, marriage, and pair bonding. Romance ruins friendships. Many people have stopped being friends with their best friend due to them trying to be in a romantic relationship with their best friend and it not working out. A lot of times, when a pair of best friends try dating each other and it doesn't work out, it tends to damage their friendship. There's a reason why most women won't date any of their male friends (especially their male best friends.) Women are significantly less likely to be romantically attracted to their male friends. Adding romance into something tends to ruin it. Platonic relationships are better than romantic relationships are. Platonic love is way more real than romantic love is. The concepts of romance, falling in love, and pair bonding are just man-made things, and there's nothing biological or natural about them.

I don't think romantic love is real or special, and I think romantic relationships are a bad thing. I think humans should just stop being in romantic relationships. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. Romance seems like an ugly thing. Many fathers and brothers are hoping that their daughters/sisters never date or get married and remain single for their whole life due to the dangers and risks of romantic relationships. The overprotective father/brother thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and that this world would be a much better place without them. If someday that the human race ditches the concept of romance and romantic relationships, and got rid of stuff like dating and marriage, fathers/brothers would be happy about it since they wouldn't ever have to worry about their daughters/sisters ever dating if that ever happened. People (especially women) should avoid being in a romantic relationship and be single for life since romantic relationships are dangerous.
