Queni koi 25 combi drum unboxing,BKKS, and is the food going down the skimmer still?

So the drum & bio combi unit has arrived so we have a quick look over it ,
The skimmer is it still filling with food or has my solution worked
Moved a couple of koi on and some ( not much ) footage from Saturday at the BKKS

Ahh young Martin finally the drum has arrived 🙌🏽 💪🏽👏🏼 Now I see inside the bio section it makes it easier to work out what to do about the higher return pipes, just cap them off and use the lower ones for now. If and when you get a separate bio chamber you could use the spare returns to connect the two together. Take care matey 👍🏼

Hi mate, i have the exact same drum, the lower outlets are for gravity returns if your drum is pump fed.

Very nice filter. I bet you can't wait to get it fitted. I bought a 4 inch ball valve off ebay for £67.50 from eco filtration to replace my slide valve and it's a good one too. All the others I looked at were near on £100.

Mines been up and running since March and I can’t fault it. I’ve got 120 litres of k1 in the bio running on a 70 litre a minute air pump and it turns over perfectly

Cheers Brian , I’m glad you mentioned the bio as I’ve got 125lts in the nexus and I didn’t really want to loose any , no problems setting it up ie float switch water level etc ? 👍👍😎😎😀

@@K.W.P.R I did have to fiddle with the float switch but that was partially down to my levels being slightly out. Some of it is personal preference as well, you can adjust the float to clean as often or a little as you want. It’s only a minutes job to adjust.

Hi Martin Not sure if it will help you mate as you may already know, but Five acre koi sell the 4 inch ball valves for just over £63 compared to £134 @queni , I bought 2 a while ago and they have been fine!

Hi Charlie to be honest with you I’ve just not had the time to remove my nexus and swap the pipe work around and fit it just yet , I think the starting point is around 17cm below the top of the unit if that helps 😎👍
