Your advice rings true to my understanding. Ironically, I was taught the same understanding of what to do when we sin by a well known Non-Dispensational pastor who has a program on SiriusXM. (I won't mention his name so as to not cause distraction.) What is new to me, however, is the notion that 1 John 1:9 only pertains to the 70th week of Daniel. This same teacher says that this is John giving an evangelistic in this verse to appeal to sin deniers identified in 1 John 1. Do you have a teaching that covers more fully the relationship of 1 John to Daniel's 70th week? If so, could you provide a link? Thanks.

God does not impute sin when you sin. 2Cor.5:19, Rom.4:8; 5:13. Christ has imputed on us his righteousness.(Rom.4:23-24) therefore you have no sin and you have nothing to confess. Why then are Christians cslled Ssints?

God has forgiven us, but if I sin against a bro/sis, I need to confess to them for healing of that relationship. “Confessing our sins one to another…”. Am I wrong?

You are correct! What a dis-grace that dispensationalism "divides" out the information needed for man to maintain a proper relationship with God.! 1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

@@michaelgill1301 so you really believe that in this dispensation forgiveness of your sin is conditional on you confessing it first? Well, if you think the doctrine in 1 John is directly applicable to you, then be consistent in applying the entire book to yourself and claim chapter 5 verse 16 --that you have the power to ask and have a brother’s sin forgiven him. And why not directly apply Jesus’s words in Matthew 6:14-that having your sins forgiven is conditional on you forgiving the sins of others. What about Hebrews? Do you hold the doctrine contained therein is for you? Have you sinned willfully lately? If so, never mind confession. According to Hebrews 10: 26-27 you’re beyond hope. Rightly divide, friend, or be hopelessly confused to the point even of despair.

Even no im forgiven if i sin do somthing wrong ,, i still say sorry to the Lord , thats my relationship with me and God , i am forgiven but need to be purged and cleaned up , even if its sometimes habitual or Not , still needs to be brought before God in prayer but my obedience to God for him to clean me up , totally impossible for me to try stop some sins no way , it has to be the divine power of God to clean a persons life up if Truly saved ! Yes we need to stop it easier said than done when u come from crazy wordly life of being a lunatic warped into every sin by the world , unless God intervenes!!... noway on earth ur life can be cleaned up r sins wanting to be stopped ,God nos the heart how many today has been on there knees in tears before Christ to be purged cleaned up sanctified edifyed being dealt with on there own before God too be a better person in the body of Christ , i dont see to many in this country sadly !!

@Guadalupe-sc4xy Satan didn't enter this man. It was simply a man giving in to his evil sin nature. May the victims and their families find comfort in grace.

@@ColumbusBibleChurch That was my question. I hate sin with a passion but i know i will still sin. I guess a better question is as Christians, it's impossible to sin and if we do, it's proof we're not saved? I just want to make sure i understand what he is saying.
@ColumbusBibleChurch
@ColumbusBibleChurch 3 жыл бұрын
It is very possible for Christians to sin. They do it all the time. The fact that a Christian sins is NOT proof that they are lost. We should strive to do better, but we will not be sinless in this life.

Sin is transgression of the law (1 John 3:4), we are not under the law so we can not break a law that we do not have. In that sense: 1 John 3:9 we CAN NOT SIN. Paul puts it like this in Romans 7:6-7 we are delivered from the law, specifically the 10 commandments. And in Romans 6:14 he says that sin has no power over you (meaning like a stronghold over you) because we are not under the law but under Grace. It's the 10 commandments that gives power to sin, and Paul says so in 1 Corinthians 15:56. So if you are struggling with a particular sin, then you are probably dealing with it according to the 10 commandments (trying in your own flesh to stop breaking the commandment), according to the flesh. But Paul also teaches us that if we are mindful of the flesh we will reap to the flesh: more corruption. But if we are mindful of the spirit, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. In other words... stop seeing yourself in who you are in the flesh and start seeing yourself as who you are in Christ. In Christ you are absolutely perfect. Colossians 1:22-23, you are righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 3:21-22, Philippians 3:9), and you are justified, you are washed clean, and you are sanctified (1 Corinthians 6:11). Start seeing yourself as perfectly clean. After getting all showered up and dressed up in your Sunday best, the last thing you want to do is get under your car and drop the transmission, right? See yourself clean and when temptations come, it's easy to reject it. Just keep saying it: "I am the righteousness of God IN CHRIST. I am righteous before God because of Christ. It's by His works not mine. He is my Righteousness. He is my Justification. He is my salvation. He is my only hope."
