It's crazy that they made him shorter and deeper voiced in The Greatest Showman. Fun fact: Tom Thumb went on to be the single most famous single act from Barnum's circus because he went on tour on his own. How cool is that! I love what Barnum said to Charles (Tom Thumb) in the movie: People won't laugh. They'll salute.

For anyone who is wondering, during the filming of the movie he was walking on his knees the entire time to portray tom thumb. his voice sounds different because they had a voice actor for him, so he has no speaking parts, and his teeth look different because he had surgery to fix his teeth after filming for the movie. still great in my eyes!

Demi Barraclough He had surgery to fix his teeth after the movie and I'm pretty sure the lisp can be attributed to that. As for the other changes, I think they mainly did it to portray Tom Thumb as accurately as possible.
