The response to the gear review question was awesome, “I’d play a couple of notes and say eww, don’t like it”!!!! Love your tone. My first sax “hero’s” were Micheal Brecker (Some Skunk Funk) and David Sanborn. You’re in good company!!

I've got Mexico envy! I'm doing your course, loving it. Have completed almost all the songs, the toughest part is the chop shop. Have 3 keys to go! I'm guessing I'll move on to the next level even though I'm not completely finished the previous level. I know now, that to truly improvise, you need to be able to play in all 12 keys. It took a long time for that to sink in.

Glad you're having a good time with it and making some forward motion. Those Chop Shop exercises will get your fingers moving fast & clean 😁😁😁

Hey, Scott! I'm just butting in to say how stoked I am with your school - had questions about whether it would be suited for a beginner, since you're such an advanced player, but man! You make everything crystal clear - it's a whole other skill to communicate your knowledge in a way that's easily digestible. Very happy to be progressing with a strong foundation: all killer, no filler! Many thanks!

Thanks, Jerry! I'm glad to hear that you are making good forward progress. Do you mind if I use this comment as a quote in my advertising?

Did you test SYOS alto mouthpieces too? What would be your choice since you don't have it for alto?

I have a similar harness-type strap, but I find it slips and I need to keep adjusting the straps up. I like yours better, but being female, the chest strap just doesn't do it for me. Waiting for my shoulder harness to be delivered, but I also have neck injuries so a basic neck strap is too hard to work with. Thanks for answering questions for us.

Yeah, it wouldn't work for a female sax player at all. I've tried everything on the market and couldn't find anything I like better.

Please make a video about what you mean when you say "find your own voice" and maybe show examples of different voices so we can understand what we are building. Thank you

Do you play other instruments? ...and or do you use other instruments: piano, guitar, etc, to help you understand certain concepts that you would like to learn how to play on sax?
