Thank you for the Gospel message you all are giving. Our world is so needing to be about our Fathers business. Knowing what the world has been dumbed down into believing is heart breaking. Living in fear is not living, believers and non have been played by evil entities. Life is to short to worship lost leaders and leadership they will have to give an account to God.

I love the Baptism discourse. I heard it a couple of times from these men that it's a matter of a conscience informed by a devotion to the revelation of Scripture, and I think that's right. We haven't had a historic council to settle this matter, and I think it's by design. I don't think God is wringing his hands wishing that his orthodox theologians appointed by his decree would just get it right. We can rest in the fact that God has intentionally left this matter unsettled for the time being. I was baptized in an Anabaptist offshoot, joined the Lutheran Church with my parents while still a boy, and married a Lutheran girl. We were still Lutherans when our first son was born and I had to consider his infant baptism. I studied the matter and was convicted of a Baptistic understanding, however we were still Lutherans. Although my wife had been raised Lutheran and sprinkled as a baby, she came to faith at a VBS in her Aunt's Baptist church, so she was open to hearing arguments. I sat down with our pastor and went through the matter with him. (Of course, the Lutheran arguments aren't as good as the Presbyterian ones.) At the end of the day, I submitted to our church despite my convictions otherwise given the level of uncertainty among orthodox believers. We stayed a few more years there and our first two children were sprinkled. When we left the Lutheran church - on good terms - we found a Baptist church that had solid orthodox theology and faithful practices with regard to evangelism and missions. My wife was baptized there, and all of our children have been baptized there as they came to faith. The point in all of this is that you must continue to study the matter, submit to Scripture and allow it to inform your convictions and conscience in the matter, and yet submit to your local church as a faithful member in good standing. One thing we all agree on in the Reformed understanding is that Baptism is given to the church, so give it to the local church to practice.

16:41 … polygamy or “polygyny” is not “sin”. It’s not a progression of sin. It’s never described as sinful, it’s never rebuked, corrected or conferenced OT or NT. This man should know better.

As much as I appreciate these saints and their wisdom, the constant bantering and friendly chirping, often distracts the listener. I and others may only come away with "Wow. Such quick witted individuals. That's great" when people's souls lie in the balance.

You should rethink your point. I'd hate to have everything made so serious for the lost sinner. The lost sinner might even enjoy this and be drawn to the campfire. There are many venues and I, for one, don't want them all to have to be serious.

@@jjroseknows777 I am not saying don't laugh or smile or show no emotion but herein lies the problem. Huge conferences like these often present man and his talents more in the spotlight than Christ himself, and Q&A sessions often reveal that. I just think if you're going to do Q&A in a huge forum such as this, it seems a waste if people are just walking away thinking, "Those guys are so hilarious."

@@RobbieTeacher Well, yes, I see what you mean. # or 4 days ago was the first time I watched one of these. Here's the link: Questions & Answers with Kim, Lawson, MacArthur, and Nichols. If you go there you'll see the first comment by: Solomon Rwangmei, you'll see 5 responses, one of them is from me. That Q & A was kept from the extreme wittiness BY Pastor John MacArthur and the way HE takes it seriousness. (It is Lawson who loves to be so witty, to be so loquacious.) But the very best part was at minute 19 when Pastor John tells HOW to begin to explain the plan of salvation to a sinner. It is the greatest answer. And then at 30 minute point, Lawson does go into getting into trouble with "his tongue" and too much humor.... Anyway, thank you for your resp9onse. I do like Kim a lot.

The first answer to the last question: “Don’t give in to societal pressures”. It appears John MacArthur is the only man from this conference heeding that wisdom in any meaningful way, regarding this manufactured medical tyranny we’ve all been pummeled with over the last 100 years or so in the US. We the church have allowed, in some cases promoted, giving governments moral superiority over all and have granted them special medicinal power. The agenda is control and the vehicle is societal pressure, originating from a Gnostic gospel and protected by communitarian law. Corporately, we have allowed the complete demoralization of this country. The good news? Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty! Christ conquered evil and sin for His glory and the good of those He chose from all time.

So regarding Derek Thomas' comment where he distinguishes homosexuality with same sex attraction...so what about someone who strongly desires to commit adultery versus someone who commits the "act" of adultery??? Both are a sin problem...not something that should be accepted that they may deal with that their whole life (as Derek Thomas said). Yes, sin is with us our whole life on earth, but do we "accept" that we may deal with strong desires of commiting adultery for the rest of our lives? No, that doesn't sound like sanctification. Neither should we accept that having same sex attraction for the rest of our lives as acceptable for a true believer.

Steve lawson really unleashed his disagreement against infant baptism, unfortunately Dr. Sproul went to be with the Lord and is no longer here to tell his side of the “controversy”. I think it would be more effective in proclaiming the gospel if the two camps (infant baptism Vs. Believers baptism) would separate because the two camps cannot Labor together 100% to advance the gospel to the ends of the world. When the thief said to Jesus “Lord, remember me when thou comes into thy kingdom”. Jesus did not say to the thief “ be baptized In immersion or sprinkling”. Jesus said “verily I say unto thee, today Shalt thou be with me In paradise” I believe baptism is an important doctrine, but it should not divide christians especially if you are working together In one Ministry. It is like a “House divided” and defeats the purpose and Mission of the Ministry. When the issue of baptism comes UP, they start biting each other and they forget to explain their respective position on paedobaptist In a Loving and christian way. Dr. RC Sproul is now enjoying his New address which is the presence of God even With his paedobaptist position. He is there In heaven together with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, moses, David etc. And the Martin Luthers, John Calvins, the zwinglis, etc and all the elect and redeemed In the old testament and New testament Times (whether paedobaptist or those against it).

17:18 - no it would not be helpful to compare polygyny to what Jesus said about divorce because Jesus wasn’t talking about polygyny. God NEVER told us polygyny happened because of hardness of hearts. This is such poor teaching from men who should know better than to inject their own bias directly into and onto scripture. If you don’t know just say you don’t know, don’t put words in our Lord and Saviors mouth.
