if you render out the image on a black background you can set the blend mode to screen (photoshop).. this will drop out the black and you should still get the glow when composing an image.

Yes, screen is additive like I said, just not labeled as such in Photoshop like in Blender or other compositors, etc.. Thanks.

It’s the software called OBS (free screen capture and streaming software). It does it all for me. The only post I do is editing the video in Resolve (I could use Blender but I’m really fast in Resolve.)

@@KevBinge thanks for the information. I knew OBS but didn't know about the input ovelay plugin that exists to record / overlay the mouse action. Yeah, I love Resolve too, however I am still using Premiere Pro for most of my videos. But that'll change soon.

OBS is pretty awesome. Premiere Pro is great and I use it at work, but it’s all Resolve here 😀

If I wanted to put any glowing object in real footage there is no bloom why ?? And how to get that bloom effect of the object in the real footage ??

Bloom is a post process out of EEVEE. Render it as a pass with a solid background and add or screen it over your footage in comp. it doesn’t work well with alpha channels, if that helps?

Hmm... I grab the image from the net, then import it in a texture input node in Blender. Then attach it to the shader. I’m not sure what you are seeing on your end that’s preventing you from seeing it? Thanks.

My Eevee render mode does not look the same as my cycles mode, what should i do? It still looks opaque and when i change it to cycles it then looks more like the model you show but it loses the Eevee bloom settings. I'm a beginner btw

Ahh, Cycles does not render Bloom like EEVEE. The way to get glow in Cycles is in the compositor using a glare node, but it's not so simple to set up for a beginner. If you can, and you need Bloom, I'd stick to EEVEE and work it until it looks how you want it. Not the best answer, I know, but it's really what's working at the moment.

It’s in the world settings. Just turn the color to black. You can also do it in shading if you switch from object mode to world mode.

@@KevBinge Unfortunately I'll have to watch another tutorial, it's impossible for me to continue because now the settings aren't the same bewteen the tutorials thus I don't get the same result and it causes multiple problems. For example the wireframe doesn't overlay the earth, it replaces the landmasses and doesn't appear at all over the oceans. And the plane didn't want to be a mirror even with the correct settings on so I just deleted it. I tried to find alternative ways of doing what you did in the tutorial by asking more experimented users on Blender stack exchange but my issue is still not solved. blender.stackexchange.com/questions/231824/how-do-i-apply-a-wireframe-modifier-as-an-overlay-without-it-replacing-all-the-s/231827?noredirect=1#comment392898_231827 I'm too much of a beginner to know what settings to turn on or off to get back on the tracks on your tutorial.
