Thank you! They are a really short variety however so I have to hack the plant right down 😂

Hi Amber, I think the bunches of Dahlias with Zinnias would be fabulous. I also purchased that exact Hydrangea and had forgotten it was called something to do with tea. It’s flowering beautifully this year. What a lovely bouquet, that’s a lot of lovely flowers in there.

I’m glad your hydrangeas are doing well. I’ve spoken to two people in the last two days whose hydrangeas aren’t flowering well at all this year. I’m not sure why because mine is ok.

Amber that bouquet is absolutely stunning. I grew 800 tulips this last season and what a disaster that was. The heat came on early with a really hot NW wind and the flowers just opened on mostly short stems. They multiplied well when I dug them up for storage but they weren’t popular here at all. As I invested so much money into them I’ve dug them up and stored them but this year i will plant them with shade cloth over the top of that bed to hopefully get longer stems and to delay the quick short blooming. Not sure if that will work or not. Our gladioli are taking a beating with the wind we keep having here so I am possibly just going to pull them out at the end of the season and plant them as front gate colour near our farm stand next year and not even bother with them for bouquets. Only one lady at my bouquet bar chose a stem for her bouquet. I have had to work most of this week and only have tomorrow off and the weather forecast isn’t looking very positive for doing one of those again this weekend. Tomorrow I need to fertilise everything which usually takes me the best part of a day to get done. Have a wonderful day and the lady who is going to receive your bouquet is going to absolutely love it. Cheers Theresa

Thanks Theresa! I find that tulips do well here, since we have such a cold winter and cold spring. Sounds like you’ve been busy! I did some watering today and harvested yet more flowers for the bakery as they sold out not long after I dropped more off!! Did a late night weed of a few rose beds. Floret course starts so soon!!

Lovely bouquet Amber. The blue sets it off. I grow Tanacetum Parthenium 'Selma Star' that looks like yours. Seeds from Plant World Seeds. Mine is short this season but was about 60cm in previous 2 years so I'm just going to restart with root cuttings. Enjoy your videos.

Maybe bright coloured bunches of Zinnia's would sell better 🤷♀️

Actually I have some done up to take down to the bakery, some lovely bright pinks, and I do think they look better. The brights do seem to work better there. My marigolds were popular!

Hi Amber. Honestly do what you enjoy although I do understand the time limitation aspect of it. I love mixed bouquets with fillers as I can see the farmer/florist's style and design. Anyway, when did you get your asters in the ground? I thought I got mine as early as possible and they are still not flowering and I am in a warmer climate than yours.
@bloomsonthehill6207Күн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! I think I sowed my asters in autumn. I won’t grow them again. This is my third try and they’re always disappointing. I have never pinched them because it always says not to but looking at them they definitely look like they need it.
@MsWhoeverthisisКүн бұрын
@@bloomsonthehill6207 I see. Did the baby plants stayed in the greenhouse until your last frost? Because I thought they are tender annuals. I am not ready yet to say goodbye to asters as I can't resist their fluffiness 😅
@emc5292Күн бұрын
@bloomsonthehill6207 it's my understanding that asters should be pinched, but the irish weather & growing conditions are very different than yours, so maybe the advice is different because of that? Your bouquet is beautiful 😍

Hi again! Yes I put the asters out after the frost, although we don’t get much of that here. They are lovely and fluffy and the colour of the apricot one is so pretty

Hi Amber, just wondering what wholesaler you went through for your tulip bulbs?
