Questions to consider: Is a rotisserie chicken a Healthy food? Does the pasta, bread (gluten) increase inflammation? Does Capsaicin, the compound in spicy peppers, increase phlegm and create more mucus? Does dairy also increase mucus? Do your own research and understand what you are doing and how things work before blindly following anyone. 🙏

So sorry you were sick 🤒 but glad you’re on the mend! This looks like a good enough recipe to make on a cold winter ❄️ day too to keep as well. Thank you for the pasta tip too!
I make my homemade chicken soup in a big batch and always stick a few pints of the soup and broth in the freezer. It keeps good for a year. The noodles are more soggy after defrosting but it’s still very good. I wrote that before you mentioned that exact issue 😆 I’ve never added kale to my chicken soup. Interesting. I always boil a whole, cut up raw chicken. I then debone that meat. That way I’m using good bone broth and don’t need chicken stock.

I wish I’d made this for the freezer ‘just in case’; as it happened my cough developed into a sore throat which turned to shivers and feeling crap...consequently when I got to a supermarket I’d to get those ingredients I could remember from memory. Made the soup with most of what’s in the recipe and improvised the rest, I’m home now, soup is done and first impressions are that it was well worth the effort. I’ll follow up with the correct ingredients and make it properly as soon as I’m in a better place. The flu jab is out next month, I’ll be first in line for the 2019 strain and if all else fails I’ll have some chicken soup in the freezer.
