These looked tasty. Love watching you two together. I had not heard of the spoon trick but then again, onions never make me cry. My darling husband on the other hand 😭... Well, he will definitely want to give that a try. :)

I love these cooking videos. As a student cooking recipes are always welcome! Would you be able to do some healthy recipes suitable for the 5-2 diet?

I always have to remind myself that what you call coriander we call cilantro in the states or I start getting confused lol I have only ever seen coriander seeds and powder but the fresh leaves are labeled cilantro! It's definitely a love it or hate it ingredient for sure! This looks tasty guys thanks for the video! :-)

You guys should try Pastelón. Or sweet plantain lasagna. Make sure to put red and yellow bell peppers in the meat sauce. It's very savory.

I'm Mexican and when you eat tostadas you just pick it up and eat it as is. Its supposed to be messy. :)

The trick with the onion is to have a body of water closer to the onion than your eyes. It can be your mouth, a running tap, or just a bowl of water beside your cutting board.

That looks delicious. You should probably eat it as it is, making a giant mess and dropping ingredients everywhere in the plate. I'd personally use the same technique as yours, just pretending it is a slice of pizza. Well, an italian like me couldn't have said otherwise. Good job, Mike and Fleur. Your recipes are always super intriguing! =)

In the states, most people just pick tostadas up whole and bite in and let everything fall where it may..LOL there is no technique. it's just a matter of getting more tasty goodness in your mouth rather than in your lap;)

Coriander tastes like soap to me and I can't understand how people like it O_O What does it taste to you (coriander lover)? :)
@librarianfanmail9 жыл бұрын
It's genetic that for some people coriander tastes like soap. I am one of those people too! I never understood why people liked it until I learned that. I wish I knew what it tasted like to the people who love it, alas!
@greenfairy05269 жыл бұрын
I personally absolutely love it...to me it's almost herbal like and tastes like what maybe thyme or basil would be. It has a fresh pop of flavor to me. I find that grapefruit is just not for me but some people really love them and I just cant.

The recipe looks delicious, but the thing about pineapples was a lie. If you twist the green part of it and it moves easily, it just means that someone at the supermarket twisted before you and it got loose. Pineapple is ready when you barely can see any green spots on the zest of it. :)

Nooooo, coriander is the devil's herb! Honestly, such a horrible, nasty, soapy taste and I can sense it in ANYTHING! In genuinely teeny tiny quantities I'll accept it but otherwise it's juts a no-go I'm afraid. Seriously need to invest in a slow cooker, even though I know they're seriously affordable anyway. Yummy recipe!
