Quick Tip: Staedler Erasable Pencils for Sketching

I've found some Made in Germany erasable color pencils, that are similar to the Colerase pencils and wanted to share it with you. They were only 1,99€ in Lidl and work fine. If you have the chance to get some - they surely have some there!

Yeah and they keep their good quality, I still use them for sketching - they're awesome :) And depending where you live, they are the cheaper and easy available version. :)

It really is. I liked the color selection of the Staedler pencils in general, the light green is my favorite :D

I have tried these Staedtlers too! The white thing around lead is staedtlers A.B.S Anti-Braking-system. I have their Ergosoft colored pencils and they have that too. I don't know does it really works, but sometimes Staedtler pens are really hard to sharpen, because this white stuff. I also tried to find alternative to Col-erase and I have comparison video about it. I had 24 set of Staedtler erasable, 12 set of Faber-Castell erasable, Koh-i-noors, prismacolor col-erase, Uni lead and pilot color-eno. Colored leads worked bit better. But Faber-Castell and Staedtler ones weren't that good, they pigment load was weak and darker colors didin't erase well.

Oh, I didn't know, you had a video about those. I've just seen them in the grocery store because they have offerings for school stuff and I wanted to try them out. The ones I've got are too a little weaker in the color pay off, but erase very well, even better than Koh-I-Noor or Colerase (don't have the other brands). I didn't try to sharpen them though.

My video is really old, so they may have improved how they erase.

You can see in the video, they erase pretty well. But I never tried out the old ones, so I can't compare.

Dory's Stories I'm interested in them as well. Fairly new to the art world. I'm not worried about light fast too much as it wld just be for the sketchbook. Did u get them? Opinions?

These colors are super pretty! I wonder about how lightfast they are, since I remember when denise did a lightfast test for paint, she accidentally did one for colored pencils as well and they totally faded. I used to use those col erase pencils but they didn’t really erase well for me and they always seemed to smudge a lot. these staedtler ones seem to be a really nice option-thank you for finding them!

That's a good point. Thank you! I still have my lightfastness tests running and can do one for these pencils too. I didn't think about it, because I use them for sketching only. But I swatched out my Prismacolor Premiers and some of them faded in a week! I'll film an update on these soon. This summery heat is perfect for testing. Since the beginning of May we just had one week of rain - this is so crazy unusual, but good for testing the lightfastness of art supplies. :)

I hope so too, I was just lucky today, that I saw that these are erasable, otherwise I would have just went past them. They are called "Staedler Noris erasable" in German.

Hi, these are the Koh-I-Noor clutch pencils, they come in a short version amzn.to/3ADSROT and a long version amzn.to/3bZ3yRN . Have fun with them. :)
