Do you not need to box the heart for the 6x6 at the end there

Hard to do when you’re splitting cants

@@SolidToothSawmill ya buddy I understand. I was just wondering When we do RR ties the box the heart we have too but when I’m cutting legging it doesn’t matter. So with legging they bury 2 steel I beam in the ground 12 ft apart the I beam is either 3. 4. 6 or 8” and they make a wall out of the wood then backfill against it then leave it in the ground and we get surprisingly good money for that stuff

@@TheWildWestMill yeah usually they don’t care on the smaller stuff. We make sure to box in on the bigger Timbers though like 12 x 12 and 10 x 10

@@SolidToothSawmill it really depends who’s buying it every customer wants somthing different right now we are cutting spruce and it’s going through our gangsaw and we are making what we call hot wheels track it’s a 3x3 with a groove cut down the middle for steel or plastic banding

We have a Brewer Golden eagle Gangsaw it’s more for pallet material max cut is 6” tall 11 “ wide but it’s a dual bay and once the blade spacers are set can have 2 different head heights per machine. So we could cut 4 different sizes at once if that makes any sense
