People in the comments are saying that the tribe is based on a Norwegian tribe? Legit, I thought the movie was a fictional universe and the tribe was based on Inuits or something. I got confused on that front. Meant no offense! Funny enough, the Sami people were in Klaus too though they looked more accurate in that film to their culture. I stand corrected though! Thanks for informing me folks!

She was pretty young, no one understood why the fighting suddenly happened between the groups and she probably assumed the spirits turned bad. She wouldn't have ran away otherwise. Also, the parents didn't mind Elsa having powers until it caused Anna danger, that's when they started worrying. Which they had every right to considering what happened in their childhood and what magic did to their forest.

There are 2 “Let It Go” songs: Into the Unknown and Show Yourself. Both songs I think show a lot more about how Elsa developed herself. Let It Go is a hollow self confidence boost while she isolates herself. Into the Unknown is a tinid but curious step towards wanting adventure. Show Yourself is genuine. Just... genuine

@@smileyfacegr6691 Then where the heck is Sweden and why are they never mentioned? If I recall, Sweden and Norway formed a union that tied their two kingdoms into the United Kingdoms in the 19th century, which is when this movie takes place. I believe the reigning monarchy was Sweden at the time as well, where they would reign over Sweden and Norway. So there'd be no Norwegian monarchy anyways. Not even during the dissolution of the union, since Norway elected a Danish prince to reign over the new kingdom of Norway. If Disney wants to include elements from the real world, then yea it's going to end up being weird as hell when they cherry pick around the actual reality they decided to introduce.
@lrose1310
@lrose1310 4 жыл бұрын
Also the earliest known story from Hans Christian Andersen is from the 1820s. Considering the movies take place in 1839-1840 (specifically stated on a map that Anna turned 19 in 1840), then those 'stories' don't technically exist yet to young Agnarr and Iduna. The story wasn't even publically released, just given to his benefactor at the time and it remained archived until 2012. The earliest anyone probably heard of HCA was with his 1829 short story. Even then, The Little Mermaid wasn't written until 1837.

@@goldcherries Shhh, don't mention that or people will get mad at you for suggesting a film that is set in a certain country in a certain time period wouldn't have had black people in it, and especially not in any positions of power such as lieutenant. Like, there are genuine complaints that I agree with when it comes to films nowadays, like the things I've seen about Soul or anything that is set in the future only having white people in it; those are valid and true. But the ones bitching that "oh Elsa could've been black" or "Rapunzel could've been black" are dumb, when you consider they are set in the places and time periods that they came from. It's not that hard to understand.

Zootopia, be it furry or not, is just a damn well crafted movie. Similarly the anime Beastars is one of the best animes that has been made in a long time. Get used to it, the bloom of furries created by Disney's Robin Hood and the Lion King have come of age and are now in various creative industries where they are overrepresented because furries trend HEAVILY towards tech and art and other creative ventures. @Ralathar44
@Ralathar44 4 жыл бұрын
@@redstreak9430 Yup yup, Frozen is just a movie. It's a good and short lived ride. Zootopia and Beastars are movies that create entire worlds where you can explain essentially everything that happens within them organically by the rules shown to be present in the world itself. When Elsa makes a giant ice castle to song, they did it to make a cool movie moment. Nothing else in that world works that way. Nobody builds a castle that way. Nothing suggests Elsa would even know how to leverage her powers that way, understands architecture or the load bearing capacity of ice, etc. It's just something she does because they want the set piece moment. Conversely when stuff happens in Zootopia it happens because it fits the characterization of the fursons (sorry not sorry :P) involved interacting with each other and the world. When shit goes down in Beastars it happens because of the nature of the world + the expectations foisted upon each furson due the already alluded to pre-existing biases and ideologies involved. Basically, I believe in the world of Zootopia and Beastars as it's been presented to me. They follow their own rules and they have consistent internal logic that still manages to speak to the audience in meaningful or downright powerful ways. Frozen is all smoke and mirrors and cynically designed business fluff deep as puddle. So when I watch Frozen I go "that was an enjoyable ride", when I watch Zootopia I go "that was a damn good movie and actually" and when I watch Beastars I go "holy fucking shit how is this so good?" and I check with non-furries because it's so good I was convinced I must just be biased. Turns out I'm not, or at least it doesn't matter in this case. Beastars is impressing even many folks who have an aversion to furries lol. Poor bastids :D.

Yeah, humongous plot hole that makes no sense. I really hate how lazy Disney gets with trying to force plot twists that don't fit, and rationalize that's a kids film so no one cares. That girl was as white as hell, and doesn't make sense how her husband "didn't know" she saved him. Like, she was in the cart with him! Did he not notice. And even so, why the hell did she keep it a secret??? Her whole family is presumably dead forever, and she's presumably homeless, but no biggie! Not to mention, how did she get married to royalty without having any background check? And why did her husband never ask?? And she's not going to alleviate any of her child's anxiety by telling her she came from a magical place. Oh my god, this movie was complete garbage!
@sillyeefers
@sillyeefers 4 жыл бұрын
Actually, I believe it was because she has ice powers. At the beginning there was only Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind. Elsa, the fifth element, wasn' t there when her mother was associated with magic. And the people didn't actually have magic. The forest did. They knew how to communicate to the elements for their benefit. So her mother couldn't have really helped with her powers, which led to them going to the river. At least, that's what I think

They are based on the Saami people (indegenous Scandinavians who inhabit the regions of northern Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia) who are white (they can be classified as both though caucasian and eurasian, the further east you go the more Asian they look. Those who inhabit Norway, Sweden and Finland though are white) And the "call" Elsa is hearing is an ancient Scandinavian hearding call, called "kulning". Used for calling back cattle

Their grandfather wanted to weaken the tribe because he has a superiority complex. By building the dam, he was only hurting their resources which would force them to rely on him. The war was not part of his plan, but he tried to kill the tribe leader when he was trying to expose the truth. His fear of their magic and his fear of not being a respectful King created a mess that Elsa and Anna had to fix. I agree with the stories pacing and Kristoffs plot was just filler, but I think their Grandfathers part made sense. I just think the ending was a little too forced.

Third movie introduces a villain who gets revealed to be Elsa's long awaited love interest and either gets revealed to have been good but misunderstood the whole time or the villain turns good at the end - something to that avail. I hope not. People claim elsa should get a love interest (Female) for representation but her not having a love interest at all and focusing on herself is good representation as is. And if Kristoff being largely irrelevant in this movie proved anything, it’s that Elsa and Anna don’t need love interests to make them better characters.

I think this because the voice started annoying Elsa when she loved her sister more than she used to, not because of her powers or whatever Also, a big theme of the move is love of all kinds (not just romantic love) Examples: Family love, romantic love and friendship
