If for some reason,you can’t get power steering fluid,you could use Dextron 6 ATF. Don’t do this,unless you can’t get power steering fluid.

Hey man, gotta say I keep coming across your vids because I have the same car, in a 2012 model. Your vids are a life saver. I actually have a big leak somewhere in my steering line/rack, wondering if you have any advice for me. I've been through one bottle of Lucas stopleak and about to try another. Leak is coming from the boot area, so I'm thinking it's a seal on the rack. If a second bottle don't help, I think I'm SOL for a new rack. Any ideas on how and where to check for a seal leak behind the boot?

If your rack is leaking it won't take long to burst. The fact it hasnt yet means your rack is safe for now. Look for the leak elsewhere.

Mine is leaking again. Not sure if from the same spot as a couple of years ago, but a Autozone guy took an O ring and went under the hood and fixed the problem. Either that has come undone or it's now the hose underneath as shown in this video.

I had a similar issue. Replaced the hose. This time applied multipurpose grease liberally. Doesn't leak or crack hose anymore.

Mine isnt. I had same problem as you. Got a new hose. This time used grease and lathered my hose on the outside. Now it resists winter cracks and summef water. Hasnt leaked since.
