Fresh Air Lyrics:
Oh, what you do to me, oh, what you do to me, little girl.
Ooo, have another hit of sweet air, come on, ooo, have another hit.
I want to know where you're going,
I want to know, sweet mama, where you're gonna go, yeah.
Ooo, have another hit of fresh air, ooo, have another hit.
Oh, baby, what you gonna do, oh, honey, what you gonna do, sweet thing?
Ooo, have another hit of sweet love, ooo, have another hit.
I love you, yes I do, babe, and I love you, I do, sweet lips.
Ooo, have another hit of sweet California sunshine, ooo, have another hit.
Take me home, take me home, take me home with you,
Take me home, I wanna go home with you, little girl.
Ooo, have another hit of fresh air, ooo, have another hit.

I never tire of listening to this great song by this great band I first saw at the Avalon Ballroom with 13th Floor Elevators circa 19 fuckin' 67 Great rendition......and sadly only 31K+ views. Share this song with your cyber friends so we can put another 9 thousand views up by Saturday.

I remember seeing ZZ Top at the old Arena in St Louis, and someone had the largest pipe I ever saw. They would dump at least an ounce into it and start passing it. It went up about four rows and then back down. If it ran out, someone else filled it...ah the good ol days.

This band kinda identified who you were back then... I really miss those days. Saw them in Humbolt, Calif. You didn't really have to smoke a joint just breath the air. Beautiful memories 😊 and still Love The Music!!!!

Thanks for posting, a lot of memories here. All respect, homage and love to the memory of the absolute Gibson SG Master, John Cippolina. Notice how the music harkens back to the real 60's soul of QMS at 4:58 when Cippolina takes control.....and THAT Ladies and Gentleman is how Mr. Bigsby's invention is supposed to be used. (Note: Valenti and Duncan using the Gibson L5-S, new at the time, the beginning of Gibson's 1970's drastic decline in quality.)

Right you are, on all counts! i noticed back then how many of the other San Francisco bands' guitarists followed JC's path to SG enlightenment: Barry Melton, Sam Andrew, Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia (LIve/Dead, incredible tones!). But Cippolina's sound was truly unique. ( never saw Jorma with the Airplane on an SG, though he was a Bigsby man at the time-Gibson 345 and 355 models).
@franzkafka77
@franzkafka77 10 жыл бұрын
***** Paul Bigsby invented a tremolo system for guitars. It bears his name on every unit. Cippolina was the most masterful human being ever to play this effect, truly a genius when it came to improvisation on a Gibson SG guitar equipped with the thing. His sound defined the era.

I love this group--my dad turned me on to them. I found out that there's a theme of alienation running through there music. That was me as a kid. I felt like I was the only one who felt like he didn't belong. This song and group was a part of my realization that my feeling were just a part of being human---thanks dad and Quicksilver.

Many a great show at Winterland, Fillmore West, Avalon Ballroom especially in the late 60's, so nostalgic. Dropping acid up on Mt. Tam, going to Muir and Stinson Beach. Anyone remember Pepperland and the Lion's Share in San Raphael? Yeah, like someone else said here, we are getting old!
