Woah! So much to explore. Besides shell modifier. Are you able to make a script introducing chamfer profiles for Maya's bevel tool?

i would love to script one, but due to the nature of mayas bevel, it would be very difficult to write one. would probably have to rewrite the entire bevel code. Currently thats beyond my scripting knowledge.

Guys, you can do this in 3ds max in 3 clicks literally. Just add shell modifier and set inner / outter amount.
