This same thing happened to me yrs ago while camping in NORCAL. I was young also. I heard heavy footsteps up to my sleeping bag, alot of fast heavy grunting and then it took off. Scared the shit out of me! back in the 70s.

Couple times in Kanawha County WV back in the mid 90's up a hollow called Witcher Creek we encountered a strange creature at night all we saw was it's eyes reflecting from our flashlights about 7 or 8 feet from the ground and the eyes were about a foot and 1/2 apart. made the hair stand up on back of my neck. The other encounter was also at night and we heard it snapping branches up the hill so we tried to sneak up to get a sighting we must have gotten within 25 yards of it, We just heard a loud screeching noise as it came down the hill at us, we turned and ran as soon as we heard it and i ran into a tree. I think it was satisfied at just scaring us away and didn't actually chase us, or it would have had me. Never actually got to see it though, just the eyes. But A buddy of mines dad swore there was a bigfoot type creature living in those mountains since he was a boy.

Hey, i know Witcher creek very well. There are Sasquatch in them thar hills. I encountered a white Sasquatch about 12 miles East of Witcher creek close to London. That was back in the 60’s.

So creepy, In my experience, weird shit happens in the middle of nowhere. My family owns a large piece of outback in Australia. So many weird things have happened to me out there, in my otherwise normal and uneventful existence lol
@andrewmurphy49017 жыл бұрын
RMK Could you share some stories from your experience?
@Elmer19537 жыл бұрын
Andrew Murphy Sure Andrew. So I'll just set the scene, this is in south Australia, at least 300km from another soul. Typical Australian outback (so nothingness lol) Used as a family retreat etc. The most common experience is the noises. In the stillness of the night, In what is otherwise dead quiet, I mean DEAD quiet, there are these noises that I've since replicated. The sound of two rocks being smashed together. It's extremely inconsistent. But once it starts, you can hear what sounds like a response from another direction, and it gets loud. Like a person is smashing fist size rocks together. On two distinct occasions, I have heard a distant, but very clear dialogue between 2 people in a language I've never heard. This was the most unsettling thing that I've experienced. My father claims to have seen a tall figure run behind a rock formation, as he approached the formation it continued to stick its head up for a look. upon him reaching the rock formation there was absolutely nobody to be seen. This was in the middle of the day. I've seen things as well, but I have to admit they have always been out the corner of my eye and I can't deny it's probably just a trick of the mind.
@andrewmurphy49017 жыл бұрын
RMK Really chilling stuff, thanks for sharing!

RMK hahaha i used to live in the rural southwestern desert and it was so scary. maybe 10 miles to the neighbors let alone anything else. always heard noises at night that definitely was not coyotes or javelina.

I’m a big fan of your videos and your channel. Dan Bell is easily one of my favorite KZbin content creators. I just recently came across these quiet time stories and I must say that I’m truly enjoying them. I don’t know if Dan continues to do these on a semi regular basis due to being very busy filming and editing the Another Dirty Room series as well as the Dead-mall series. I hope we get more of these in the future but in the meantime I’m going to check out the older Quiet Time videos. As always great content and your hard work is greatly appreciated. God bless!

David Paulides has claimed to have obtained bigfoot DNA. He also does the 'Missing 411' series, about people gone missing in our National and State parks. Love your story. It had to be a person or Bigfoot. Why would a person deliberately go crashing through brush and a thickly wooded area; cross a river; stand outside your tents breathing heavily for a while; grunt and turn around and go back the way it came in the wee hours of the morning in the dark? It must have had night vision goggles. Think about it Dan. Bears don't walk distances like that on two legs. Deers don't walk on two legs, ever. Maybe it was an escaped baboon or gorilla from a zoo, but they primarily walk on all fours. Maybe it was an alien walking around in the forest at night and luckily decided not to abduct any or all of you. I don't know if aliens breathe heavily or make grunting noises. Anyway it was an interesting story. Did your dad ever talk about it later at any time? He was smart to get his rifle.
