Miguel Almeida if you want a good transport game, play train fever. its fun, has good music, and its 10 bucks.
@MiguelAbd9 жыл бұрын
Chrischi3LPs I discovered another game named OpenTTD which is a free version of Transport Tycoon Deluxe but with much better mechanics, adapted and using nowadays hardware. Very nice, I recommend it too.
@Chrischi3TutorialLPs9 жыл бұрын
i know it, thats why i know train fever. i prefer it because its noob friendly and has less waiting since it begins in 1850.

+Miguel Almeida I was about to say the same thing. Can't believe i didn't know about this game, it looks very good. I did know about OpenTTD and many of the other transport/industry tycoon games. OpenTTD is great, but i don't like the emphasis on creating complicated rail networks, which i find kind of difficult and cumbersome.

Oh man, I remember the main menu music. It was bitchin' rad! I also remember their crazy anti-piracy measures. I bought and owned the CD but I didn't want to juggle disks and have it spin up all the time, so naturally I installed a noCD crack. Little did I know... I played, built my empire and it was awesome. Exactly 10 years after the start of the game all my production outputs dropped to 0. Turns out if you don't have the CD in it will still run, but it basically destroys your game 10 years down the line. Fucking devious!
@Kaiimei9 жыл бұрын
+BlackBobby69 That's actually pretty smart. Most people who pirate say that they only try the game, so if they actually try to just keep playing the game screws them over, genius!
@kyleflounder97839 жыл бұрын
Gosh, they're not kidding when they say "GIANT". You can buy and make and sell pretty much anything you want, whenever you want, so long as you keep a good profit margin and have the money and resources to do what you want to do. It is a fun and pretty amazing game. :D
@technoxan68269 жыл бұрын
This looks awesome! Just one thing I have noticed in this, Tropico 4/5, and cities skylines. Cars will move at a normal speed, but days are faster. Sooo, it takes those traspotr trucks about 3 days to freight the goods. :D But it still looks great! :)

The only thing that unsettles me is how products go to shops or between different industries without roads/trucks :).

Deon Urist You need Transport Giant for that :D It uses the same engine.

anthonyjohnadlington I know, but there were games like ANNO and similar ones with the feature. I agree that it is not that important and does not rule out the awesomeness of the game for that time.

Transport Giant is so much nicer, in my opinion, as it deals with the transportation and trade instead of semi-teleporting goods. I am weird, i honestly liked Transport Giant better than OpenTTD and Railroad Tycoon. There is just something satisfying about going from ox carts all the way to modern trains.

You can put in stores on the other end of the town you are already selling at, there is a decent amount of population that you aren't covering right now. You can also increase wages on buildings for a bit more production, especially handy when you can't afford to build extra buildings, or there aren't good spots to build more buildings.

It's kind of weird how an entire factory can only do one tiny thing in a production chain, so you need like an entire city sized factory to produce chairs instead of picture frames, and a saw mill can't collect saw dust and cut trees at the same time.

this looks so much like transport giant tycoon. even the music and ambient noises are the same xD in that game you can start in the 1800's tough and go far far into the future. you cant build industry in that tough, just managing transport between existing industry's. using trucks,trains,planes,blimps,boats and helicopters. you would for instance, load oil at a drilling tower. transport it however you want, to a distillery. and then from the distillery you will take it to a city. the city will grow too. and you can generate random maps. which is awesome!
@ricob43129 жыл бұрын
Lodewijk Vrije It looks similar because it was made by the same developer (JoWood). Industry Giant 2 is a bit older than Transport Giant but i believe it was much more succesfull.

I bought the game and currently it doesn't work at all (something about incompatible graphics cards). Personally, I'm willing to wait a few days for them to get sorted out but if they don't even acknowledge there are issues and they are working to fix it with 2-3 days, I'm just going to get a refund because apparently there are quite a few users having the problem

I downloaded the game from Steam and it would crash when trying to startup, giving me an error message about my graphics card being 'incompatible'. I switched the executable to Windows 98 compatibility and run as admin, which allowed me to run the game, but then I crashed when the first little video for completing a train station popped up. I think if I disable those, though, it should work out.

Let me know if you want a copy: leave a message on my little You Tube channel. P.S. I must be one of your oldest followers. I was born the same year that Newfoundland joined Canada.
