Ease up. He's only 19 and trying to interview a music industry god. In light of fact that he's in the music industry and admittedly no real instrument training. It's intimidating. The interview is like a great grandfather to a grandson. Q is clearly enjoying the moment. Clearly he's imparting wisdom. How many legends bother to do this? Much love in that room.

No. Khalid comes across like the corny and contrived industry plant that he is. Failed opportunity at interviewing a true legend.

I came to this video after watching a nightmare of an interview. The interviewer asked all the wrong questions, interrupted Q multiple times, asked all the wrong follow up questions, didn’t even follow what Q talked about. As much as I tried to enjoy this video, I couldn't. Khalid, bro. When you ask a living icon like Quincy Jones a question. Be quiet. Let him answer fully. Then start your next question. A few times you were talking over him. The names he mentioned look them up. You have no idea who they were. Talk less listen more. That's Quincy Jones. That man revolutionized music. Without him, no you.

This was a very humbling and learning experience for Quincy, Khalid and for other people period. For a living 84-year-old legend to speak with a 19-year-old inexperience entertainer should mean a lot to anyone. To Khalid: If you keep doing what you are doing, one day you will be the 84-year-old living legend being interviewed by a young person like yourself now and you will remember what it felt like. Just as Quincy did, help the young person by not intimidating, but helping by talking about experiences, making the interviewer feel warm and easy to talk too...

Why is everyone hating on Khalid?? This wasn't meant to be an interview, it was a conversation between a man who has already walked the path and someone who is just starting their journey and has plenty to look forward to and learn. I think maybe the contrast of a new baby artist such as Khalid interviewing a living legend wasn’t the worst idea, Khalid will forever remember this moment and when he gets older fully realize just who he was talking to then it just be the greatest memory, and Quincy Jones needs to be seen, one of the greatest men to do it in the industry.

YOOOOOOOOOOO, that was so disappointing... he's not worthy of this interview yet. Jacob Collier, Robert Glasper, those are names in which I know would've had better Q&A with QJ

I blame GQ for their POOR choice in interviewer. This kid had little to know eye contact and was NOT listening. When you listen, you are quiet...Not saying mmm....yeah....mmm.... thats crazy. I could barely even hear the gems Quincy was dropping. This could have been a legendary interview if they had gotten the right interviewer for the job.

Love this interview. Especially the "cringe" moments. It made the conversation feel more real and down to earth. Hella edited interviews make it fake and you can't ready personality as much. Much love to them both
