My Dad passed away 2.16.19 (James Ingram's birthday) from prostate cancer. May they both rest eternally in the arms of Jesus.

REST IN PEACE DEAR BROTHER JAMES My partners Barry Mann and Cynthia Weill and my late wife Stephanie were honored and privileged to be amongst the first to ever hear James' magnificent voice. He was one of the greatest singers any of us had ever heard, and his voice inspired Barry and Cynthia to write "Just Once", which became James' first #1 record, and myself and Peter Asher to produce their song "Somewhere Out There" for the movie "An American Tail". James and Linda Ronstadt's recording won Barry and Cynthia the Grammy for "Song of the Year" and was nominated for an Oscar® and a Golden Globe™. One of our proudest achievements with him, was a song that Joe Sample, Stephanie and myself wrote, was sung by James over the grave of Dr. Martin Luther King on the 25th anniversary of his death. Below are couple of links to some of our proudest moments with James Ingram. Our sincerest condolences go out Debbie and to James's family. We will miss you forever. Steve Tyrell

More than 30 years after meeting her I still love her , but our lives went through diferent ways. I know I will love her till the day I stop breathing. It's the middle of the pandemic, and here I am missing James Ingram and his music. What else could go wrong in this world?

RJ Baliza - Your Travel Jock! Totally agree with you my friend! This kind of music hurts the soul but brings a smile too. Take care and keep safe :)

When I was going through a divorce after 27 years, I stayed in a dark room for 3 days -- no food, no people, just James Ingram singing this song to me over and over. He got me through the worst time of my life. I LOVE JAMES INGRAM.

James was a beautiful soul. He made the planet a beautiful place just with his voice. All that the planet needed. May he rest with the Angles. Legend!
