You know, it’s funny how the official Fnaf movie did the “little girl befriends dead guy in an animatronic” WAY better. It probably helps that Abby befriends the dead kids who were unjustly killed and manipulated, so when they want to turn her into an animatronic, it comes off more as misguidance. It’s understandable from children, not the grown man who’s also a serial killer.
@IronBrandon227 ай бұрын
The only thing I could think of that would make this not disgusting is if all the characters were adults (excluding the dead children). When I was younger , I always thought it was a little bit weird, particularly regarding the fact that I thought that Delilah’s dad was justified in being suspicious of him but I didn’t find it super terrible until Springtrap started having beef with Harry to a degree where he’s threatening a teenage boy for believing that Delilah deserves so much better . It turned me off of the series when I was little so I never knew that it had an ending or anything of the sort . It’s still weird and upsetting knowing what other intentions the creator had when it came to the series , especially with so many red flags in it to make me at grade school or early middle school age to not want to continue with the series

For real, I am so grateful you mentioned that Quinn drawing and writing about this stuff while behaving as she was at 16 years old could be a sign of her going through something similar in her life at that point in time. While you're right, it absolutely does not excuse her behavior at the time, it can certainly explain why she was creatively expressing such gross things and anyone who calls her an irredeemable monster needs to understand that her normalizing and shipping this stuff at that age is often a symptom of being groomed and we should hope that she is in a healthier and safer place than she was back then.

Well, thinking about it, when I found the dub, I was roughly 9-12 and I would assume a lot of other fans were as well. When you grow up on the internet, especially at a young age, you don't really think of these behaviours as off or weird especially if you grew up with it in your own household. Obviously, now I would assume many of us are 18 and up, we realize how horrible these behaviours are and side with the ones against it. Makes me wonder what happened in the creator’s personal life, especially since they created this comic when they were a teenager. Absolutely disgusting, thanks for making such a detailed summary of everything
@compassrose14668 ай бұрын
It makes me wonder their homelife too. They seem to romanticize this emotional abuse and manipulation which is something I did as a teen actually. In my rps my character was always the victim that needed to be saved when I was 16…I learned at 20 in therapy that it wasn’t normal. It was shown as normal in media like Pretty Little Liars. I also was with someone who was a year younger than me and emotionally took advantage of me being on the spectrum and being super empathetic. They always had manic episodes like Springtrap where if I was away I was wrong and yelled at and threw lovebombed after I cried. There was just so much unhealthy in that relationship Ali my with my family…sometimes these things seem normal. I really hope Quinn has gotten therapy with their time off the internet. It is disgusting and I won’t justify what they did. I believe anyone can change, especially now that they’re an adult and can reflect on what they roleplayed and viewed back then.

I agree with the both of you. I sincerely hope that Quinn has changed for the better, and that they remain off of the internet. This whole situation is so disgusting, yet depressing at the same time. Makes me wonder if she might've been in/had a problematic relationship like that at the time and was manipulated into thinking that kind of stuff was normal Not saying it excuses it, but I’d rather believe that she was simply misguided and realized as she grew older than that she just fully endorses that type of behavior

As some other commenters have already said, making a abusive relationship story isn't bad in of itself, its when the abuse is shown to be "reasonable" or "understandable". Whatever the reason somebody gives for abusing you, it will always be dirt under the rug until that person either grows up, or faces consequences. Never be silent about your abuser, because nobody is going to be trapped with a person like that unless you let them play with your strings. Seek therapy or counseling from a trusted friend or adult, or stand up to your fear directly and speak up to your parent about it (some abusers don't know they're being abusive). Make a social group so there's a safety web you can fall onto incase things go south. And, if your abuser puts hands on you, get evidence of the abuse either on camera or by audio. Don't fight back unless you have actual footage, because manipulators can twist the story to their benefit. Use your wit, because that's exactly what abusers don't count on. They always look down on people so they always think they're high and mighty. If they're going to play that game, then run along with it while setting up your own one. Do not fall for their traps. Keep yourself safe, and if you've gotten away from your abuser, kudos to you, now you have knowledge on how to deal with these fools. They may all look different, but they all have that same bitter taste. Unfortunately, they're everywhere, but unlike constant abuse, you only have to deal with them once. And that one time should count, by either shutting them up, or leaving them in the dust.

It'd likely help if say, the springbonnie animatronic is found after the body is removed. Upgraded and given the same software sort of, as the glamrocks. This way the sentience makes sense. As older animatronic types from the 90s in reality don't have sentience (unless theoretically possessed but even then) Enabling the animatronic to experience more. So maybe there was basic sentience. But then the upgrades gave him/her *depending on how you see springbonnie), the upgrades, enables emotion, empathy, sympathy, apathy, deeper thought. Which can make a compelling character learning to build their own path but struggling to escape the past and struggling to deal with the consequences caused by someone else, now pushed onto them. Could really truly be interesting if done in a specific way

@@BlueSkyBirdieswell No I think that was the canon reasoning. William wasn't on any criminal database so they could look straight at him and would deem him as safe. Obviously Henry thought that whoever killed his daughter had to have been on a registry somehow, like the way it happened would give massive "not their first time" vibes and most of the time, the person who did it is on a registry. So like. Yk. Install them to prevent any future incidents but didn't work because william isn't on one. Honestly the toy animatronics are really fucking dark when you separate them from the current lore and look at them alone.
@chocomelo4547 ай бұрын
Since most child killers are p-words, I assume that's why so many stories where he's a p-word exist. It's very rare for a child killer to NOT be doing it for those reasons honestly. Back when he was just purple guy there wasn't much to go off of because he was a nothingburger. Obviously now we know that he did it for the thrill / feeling powerful (in the movies) and to create a twisted fucked up family (in the books) but back then he was kind of a "it can be anyone" type thing. As in he seemed like a character that would represent something so horrible but be kept so bland that you can't tell why they do what they do or how they became the kind of person to do that. Which tbh is a cool concept. But it isn't the canon.

You can totally tell it was written by a kid from how jarringly chill every single character still is with Springtrap. Even if Springtrap wasn't a possessed animatronic or a murderer and was just some random grown-ass man, the reactions from pretty much every character would STILL be too subdued to be realistic. Nick's attitude of "it's not right but I don't wanna get involved because it makes my daughter happy" reeks of wishful thinking on the part of a teenager who has an adult friend (speaking from experience). Any real life parent would nip that shit in the bud, knowing that even though they'll be upset and hate you for it in the moment, you're saving them from a much worse fate later down the line. That having been said though, the other aforementioned elements of Springtrap just push the reactions into absolutely hilarious territory. "I'm the soul and rotted corpse of a man who gruesomely murdered 6 kids." "Oh. Okay, cool. Keep hanging out with that 14 year old, I guess." 💀

A is an extremely dangerous figure, a demon or a ghost or something, who's stuck with B, who's a small child. Ideally, A can't harm B in any way, but is tied to reluctant proximity with them. my headcanon for this comic was that Afton and the "spirit" of spring bonnie were in constant battle for control. By spirit of spring bonnie I don't mean a dead child but more a vague idea of the suit being alive in a "Toy Story" sense. So the suit is good and friendly but has had its soul and body invaded by its very own creator, the child murderer William Afton, but there isn't really enough room so the two spirits start unknowingly fusing together which is the only way I could make sense or excuse the idea of William Afton wanting to change or be a good guy, as he is experiencing a kind of unwilling fusion with the spirit of a happy rabbit robot that just wants to be a friend to children.

I was reading a translation of the comic on Wattpad and honestly, the toxicity got so clear and annoying that I started making memes and jokes just to counter the amount of people creepily shipping Springtrap *with* Deliah and the strong idiocy of the characters. (AS A WARNING: I'm sorry if this seems a bit jumbled around... It was a long time ago, and the memory of my younger self has been covered by dust. I was not by any means a perfect, angelic person, and I am not in any way saying that I handled any of these situations in a great way. I was like... 13 guys.) Hello... I'm WateringStar. I saw Bry here, which was cool because we are still friends on Discord-- it's just nice to see someone from my past is still around. I'm posting this comment to shed a bit more light into what it felt like to not be the closest to Quinn, but to be an affection-starving, young kid at the feet of a greedy idol. I was friends with Quinn, not as close as others, but I strove so hard to be. I was inspired, I wanted to have a group I could look back on when I was older and nod at my contributions. I was a kid wanting to be apart of something bigger, and I didn't understand how fame changes people, nor did I understand mental health. I realized after half a year of being friends with Quinn that I was biting off more than I could chew. I was not as trusted because I was new and too eager, it broke me knowing I would never have a chance. There was nothing I nor anyone could do to help or satisfy Quinn... She needed help from someone she didn't have, and I understand now that I could never have been that person. Like I said in the beginning, I was definitely not one of her closest friends, as those spots were reserved for the "Trusted Pancakes". It felt like something I had to reach for, something that would bring me closer with these people I adored and talked to daily in the server. She dangled it in front of me like a prize, so I felt that I needed to give to receive. I gave my all. I drew a lot for the server. She demanded a lot from my art, pushed me to the limits... But her bar was set high, and I would receive a lot of specific demands. I still have one of them up on my DeviantArt, labeled "Trusted Pancakes Meeting". It was NOT good, and she ended up criticizing it a lot in our DMs. Though I got a lot of love for it in the server, and Quinn did give it appreciation, the next commission (that was also not paid) was a bit... odd looking back. It was for a Christmas event that happened in the server, and she requested an image of Springtrap in a Santa suit, looking down "happily" with Deliah sitting on his lap. Even if I was young, and this request seemed pretty harmless at first, she made a lot of uncomfortable suggestions that would make me question the purpose of the image. I was in the progress of drawing her request, when she began to mention how long it was taking me in daily conversations, and how frustrating it was that I couldn't finish it without asking her for anatomy help. She told me that she could easily replace my work with another person's if I did not finish it sooner. I ended up not drawing her request in time, and this made her very mad. The very next day, she found somebody else to do it. For free of course, like mine was, and she made it very clear that her decision to pick somebody who "worked so efficiently and flawlessly" was a wise one. As a fan, doing what I love for a creator I enjoyed, even considered a friend, this type of behavior was very hurtful and was definitely not the last that was exhibited in the future. She used me for my artwork, and promised me trust and fame knowing I was young and wanted her respect more than anything. I was eventually banned from the server. I had enough from her, and told her how I felt publicly. This was immature, and I realize it now... but if I had not, I would never have met my group of friends today. I was DMed a bit after it by someone in the server who comforted me and patted me on the back for speaking my mind in a place her wrong-doings would be in the spotlight. They told me that others followed me after I left, and that we could make a place to still be friends. For their safety and comfort, I will keep them all anonymous, but they would consist of victims and close friends of Quinn's. When I joined, I was shown love and support for what I went through, some of which I refused to mention here... Everyone gave me the trust that I've been looking for since falling into Quinn's server, and I am wise enough to see now that it wouldn't have happened without her or this stupid comic. I should never have looked for friendship in a place designed to be a pedestal for someone else to begin with. That same server still runs today, and we talk on it regularly. We have kept it strictly private, and we never once talked about what happened, as it doesn't matter to anyone anymore. I only ever mentioned the resurgence of "Springtrap and Deliah"'s popularity once to the server, which was promptly and understandably ignored. I see so many fans online AND in person, sporting Quinn's art in their profile pictures or pins or fan-art... How badly I wanted to tell them everything, it itched at me for weeks. She didn't deserve to be idolized by aspiring artists, like I once did, but these people I saw didn't deserve to get their comforts mutilated. I haven't talked about what happened between me and Quinn with ANYONE since her disappearance, because I didn't want to be what she was. I didn't need everyone's attention, and I didn't want the fame for being the one who started the fire. But in being silent, I learned that "bad people" don't exist, just people who can't bring themselves to make the right decision. I call those "people who have sank", a stupid metaphor I've made for myself to shield the confusion of mental health and circumstance. To you, I could never shake off the fact I had a sick feeling reading her comics... and this video brings a lot of relief to the answer why. In the end, my fear on the matter has turned into a lesson I will keep in my memory, and I am choosing to view it as patience. Thank you for shedding light on something I've been avoiding since it's happened, and thank you for your acknowledgement of her humanity in the end. Quinn is not a monster, and she does not deserve to be hunted down. I respect your message, both the pacifist and the brutal. What she did was sickening, and her imagination went places it shouldn't have, but I hope she's since found help. I really do wish to believe she is in a better mindset.

While the comic is most likely written before William Afton's name and family was a thing, they could improve on Springtrap and Deliah's relationship. Like if the author wasn't a creep and probably tried to update the story based on current FNAF lore, Springtrap's relationship with Deliah could be him trying to replicate the family he lost. Maybe because Deliah reminds him of the Bite victim or Elizabeth Afton? But no. We just have a child predator for Springtrap.
