having had a second look at the video now I can say that I can see a point of having the clip made of plastic. Reason being that in case force is applied the clip will just bend and snap out of the pocket. Should it have been made of aluminium or had plastic this would have been constituted a health and safety hazard should excessive force be applied (law enforcement altercation etc). Hard plastic would snap and crack easily turning into a sharp object. Aluminium unless is a very had alloy would have bent and it would be difficult to get it back in the exact same shape. Also hard aluminium would also constitute a safety hazard in case of excessive force being use (body to body combat etc.) The main issue which I did not address in the review regarding the clip though is that the click wheel that spins the clip around did not feel very sturdy at all. If you look at 1:38 it pins around very easy which makes me think it will loosen up pretty soon with consistent use. I think they should keep it made of rubberised plastic but improve on the click-wheel mechanism that spins the clip as I think that was the weakest point of the clip and maybe make the clip a bit sturdier using thicker flexible plastic.

Heyho…the PWM is not a big deal for the purpose of Law Enforcement. Also the yellow stripe avoids the reflection at the metal. Otherwise it will shine in the others peoples face. Remember…this is not a searchlight. ;)

👍 I've put all the details out there for those who are interested to buy it. I'm a bit confused as to how those yellow bands would prevent reflection, doesn't make sense to me. Regarding PWM, maybe it's not a big deal but again this is information that are is available from the manufacturer so I think some people would appreciate that. I still think it's overpriced for what it is especially considering that it doesn't memorise the last used light intensity setting which would have probably been easy to implement.

@@florinmoldovanu Yeah…its really overpriced. :( I wait a bit and buy a used one. 👍🏻

7:38 just found out that this "feature" is called PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation) and it's bad for your eyes. So not only is the light of cold colour temperature, it also streams flicker.

I found this review very interesting... I will be purchasing one and do my own review... Specifically this light was designed and intended for LEO and Military applications... So a review that identifies PWM, Harsh Color, Inability to scan bar codes, and its all metal design are critiques of the specifically engineered designs for it's intended purpose... Too bad that a more objective review is not readily available. Thanks for the attempt.

you can take them as mere opinions. I hope I've covered everything to give you an idea of what you actually get. I still think it's overpriced for what it is. The fact that it doesn't memorise the last setting used is especially annoying.

Overly critical review of a light purpose made for LAW ENFORCEMENT. You're complaining about scanning barcodes, and what the light looks like on your phone screen LMFAO.

yes the review is critical and in-depth no, the main argument regarding the light flickering is that it uses PMW to regulate light intensity which cumulated with the cold temperature of the light it might give some people headaches. For a light this expensive I would have expected nothing but the best unfortunately it's a letdown in many areas. One could buy a regular torch light or buy a regular clip on led light for 20% of the price of this one. A highly pretentious product with a very steep price.

@@florinmoldovanu You don't get to review your own review. Why would a light shining in FRONT of you give you a headache?? It's designed specifically to serve the needs of LE personnel. It's also made of aluminium, higher cost and more durable- they also offer similar plastic models at 1/2 the price which you should obviously be reviewing for your needs. Less 'pretentious' as you say.

@@Matasky2010 I tried to cover all of the aspects of the product. If you feel that the review is biased in that what bothered me doesn't bother you or you find value in what they have to offer for the price then then go ahead and buy it. In the end it was useful for you even though you consider that my point of view is not valid.
