I really appreciate all of the things you said in this video. 5 months ago my gf and I broke up and after that I started smoking weed more often. Smoking weed went from every saturday to every weekend, and from every weekend to every day. It got to the point where things felt "weird" when I was sober or I had constant brain fog. Today is the first time in 3 months I've gone a day without smoking weed. When I became dependent on weed I would get full blown anxiety attacks for no reason. I'd get paranoid. Not that someone would hurt me but that there was something wrong with my mind, or that I was losing control of my thoughts. Today is my day one, to anyone reading this comment I wish the best to you and if you're quitting too, I know you can do it! There was a time in all of our lives when we didn't smoke weed, goodluck!
@conor858822 жыл бұрын
Dude the exact same thing happens to me. I’ve been having weed panic attacks for years. They are crazy scary. Just like you say; my mind starts racing into an uncontrollable speed, and I feel like I’m dying. If you saw me in one of these episodes you would think I was having a fit, or a full psychiatric emergency. I have NEVER had one without weed, but have had hundreds with weed meaning It’s not me, it’s the weed. I’m trapped in a hell between marajuana dependency and these attacks.

Hey brother I hope you’re doing well , any update on your journey quitting ? I’ve been smoking for years and tried quitting for years and I’ve been sober for 3 weeks now and never felt better. I have tried to quit so many times I’ve lost track and I’ve always relapsed. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that but take the lessons from each experience and use it to become stronger when you try to quit again. No matter how many times you go back to it don’t give up on yourself , it is tough at first , but try to learn what triggers you to want to smoke such as stress , family , even friends unfortunately and learn to coexist without having to smoke and if they’re your real friends they will support you , try to keep yourself occupied with anything else , exercise, video games , movies or work. It is tough but always remember that god will never put you in a situation you can not handle and that is a fact. Stay strong brother , please respond If you get a chance , I wish you the best.

Dude...thank you for this video. I recently gave up my daily weed habit. I'm finishing my stash after progressively smoking less and less. The first 3 days were indeed tough, but then...I was okay. It really was hard for a moment here or there after those first few days. Then it's fine, it gets easier to find other things to do, and you realize that you don't need it to enjoy life. It doesn't open up your mind if you're smoking it heavily or daily. Nightly couch lock will cost you unless you're done achieving all of your goals in life or are extremely privileged. Smoke responsibly, never in times of sadness or to deal with strong negative emotion. That could cause you to depend on it, at least mentally. Now, I gotta stop with cigarettes, but quitting weed has helped me gain the confidence to start planning my exit from nicotine. I can resist the cravings, and that feels amazing, like I won another battle in my war against my harmful habits. Thank you again for the motivation to keep going, man. I really appreciate you for this video.

@Scott_Bradbury4 жыл бұрын
@@RSPGlitchesFR I've smoked most of 15 years, half my life. I find the main side effect is short term memory loss. I think THC helps the brain forget things and let things go faster, from my experience anyway. It's a good tool in that sense, but it also makes it impossible to keep up with everyone as conversations fade quickly if your a full time user like me. This also means I tend to be less social & have more anxiety towards people and conversation with people i'm not 100% familiar with. That said, the pressures of society and the ability to sit at home on a computer has allowed me to build multiple business and pretty much live a retired life from about 29 years old. Not wealthy, just smart with passive business opportunities. I often quit for a month or two, but if I smoke once that's it for at least 3 or 4 months, smoking from dusk till dawn. I'm fully aware I am an addict, I don't particularly enjoy smoking and now use mainly oils to save my lungs. I don't remember dreams at all when I smoke. When I come off smoking my motivation comes back and it can be pretty full on for me. I end up starting businesses going into what feels to me like hyper-drive where I obsess over ideas and have the motivation to fulfill them. Social anxiety goes away. My memory comes back and so do my dreams. However memory is not what it could have been if I never smoked. But same goes for fast food, lack of exercise etc. I don't think smoking is bad if you want a simple life. But smoking full time is a full-time job.

I’ve been smoking for 5 years, but I’ll usually take 1-2 months off a year as a reset. @@kristenrackley8701 thank you! Oh boy the first 7 days I was in tears and sweat. Not even going to say that it was easy bc it was a challenge. But guess what.. you will be stronger bc of it. My mindset was “I must quit this” not “ I should” and I kid you not I’ve gotten closer to God(that was 1 month prior to quitting)and now I’m manifesting on a kingdom level. Oh yeah I just gave myself a drug test on Father’s Day and I passed! I cried haha a lot. I know that as soon as I made my mind up, that this was it almost immediately a job offer came that will be paying me more money than I’ve ever made. To God be the glory. You got this! It’s your life and in order to live in peace and walk in your true state(which is amazing and awesome) you have to be committed to never ever doing it again and almost immediately your desires will begin to unfold. If there’s other strongholds that you have(alcohol, cigs, lust, cursing, etc etc) they have to go too! You can’t have one foot in and one out. Desire to be an angel and your reality will reflect that. You won’t be perfect but as a Christian I can repent and keep going. I just told a family friend that once I reached the 10 day mark I realized I was who I was struggling to become. We could talk forever lol but I will stop there. You can and you will do it! I do believe weeed is great when used in Moderation, but for me I abuse it and alway end up feeling bad . I know what to expect , how to feel when quitting weed it’s just that whenever I get to a point in my sobriety something really great happens in my life and then I try to reward myself with a smoke and then I’m right back to square one . This time I will not reward myself when something good happens I will just be aware of good things happening when I am not smoking and staying sober and that’s motivation.

You are so right that the weed keeps you complacent. I would sit in front of my computer playing video games for literal hours on end and watching boring things that wasn't even interesting!! I was so out of my mind that just sleeping would have been fine. It was so dumb. Once I quit, I couldn't play the SAME video game that I spent the previous day playing 9+ hours for more than 30 MIN! I couldn't believe it. The weed also made me so unbelievably LAZY, I couldn't be bothered to throw out the trash! Immediately these days, I am READING again, consuming INTERESTING intellectual content I loved, taking CARE of myself both mentally and physically and also not to mention the emotional balance and immediate positive change in my relationships with my family (parents mostly) and friends. I am 25 years, I messed up my life and used at increasing rates since the age of 21. I am glad I didn't take even longer to make this change. I am continually amazed daily at the change in how I feel, the focus, and seeing what really matters in my life and that's living my best life not being dependent on ANYTHING, including other people.

Same im 25. I stopped a week ago. Guess 2020 truly is the year we see things clearly. I would sit watching KZbin videos about nothing too. I stopped reading books. I dropped out of college not realizing the reason I couldn’t focus on the lessons was because i was always high. I wasted a lot of time honestly. I could smoke all day doing nothing not even watching tv just laying there. I smoked 5-6 blunts (maybe more) a day and didn’t even enjoy the high anymore. I worked out a few days after stopping my brain was so fried I couldn’t even count the reps out loud or in my head. 😐 I’d drive places or go into rooms and forget why im even there. I feel like we do it to avoid our real problems. I know for me I’ve been depressed since the 11th grade. I am not who i use to be and I’m embarrassed af. Im glad u stopped. I just seen we’re the same age and related to ALL of ur experiences. ❣️💯
