Dear CMC, can I talk with someone of yours? As an agnostic, I'm trying to study with an open mind the Q'ran and hadith, but I got stuck with the stoning issue, which I find impossible to accept as a kind of justice for any kind of crime. I would like to chat/talk with someone competent, in order to understand if stoning is really part of Islam. Thanks

Assalamu alaikum Dr. Nadi! This was very informative and helpful. JazakAllah khair. Is there a dhikr of one of Allah swt’s names that can protect us from despair? I’m thinking “Allah kareem” may help me..

Salaams jazakiAllahu khair for the talk. Is dua qunoot related to the q-n-t root? If so why is this?
@nehalhany44264 жыл бұрын
Aiden Mainzer No, it isn’t. Doaa qunoot قنوت comes from the root قنت which means obedience or submission. While قنوط with letter ط means despair as Dr. Najah mentions.

Thank you for this lecture. When one is in despair, would they be doing their prayers?
@aykha70904 жыл бұрын
Ofcourse, this is why Muslims are advised to be patient & maintain their 5 prayers
