@TheBecky0203
@TheBecky0203 7 жыл бұрын
It actually has nothing to do with what hemisphere you are on. It has everything to do with your distance from the equator. The further you are away you are, the less direct sunlight you recieve in the winter, and the more direct sunlight you recieve in the summer resulting in this paraox shown in this video. The reason for the varying amounts of sunlight is because the Earth is tilted about 23 degrees on its axis. You have stated a common misconception.

Here's me thinking that the sun never comes out in central England of the Uk. Kuopio is terrible for this going by the looks of things! I'd hate to see a clouded white/blue night on the only few weeks of the year that they are foreseeable! To sit outside on a writer's balcony being able to write under a lucent blue sky that is lit up with a setting sun that doesn't drop below 3-4degrees at night would be a wonder!I had this opportunity on a cruise to Norway in early July this year. Went as far as andelsnes and you could write in a book clearly at 0030! The sun was setting around 2330ish. Such an experience, but I don't envy the plus 56 degree northern regions in winter however.

The photo taken every 30 seconds is something a GoPro can do by itself as long as the power doesn't run out.

Omg...such a depressing video. Winters are depressing and summer is scary. I wondered what it would feel like living there...I would go nuts in a few days I am so blessed to live in pakistan Sun rise: 5am ,Sunset 7:00pm Alhamdullilah

I might be slightly biased here, but I like change and having the day pretty much the same length all year round would get old really fast. :)

@@Qwarzz length changes with season....but we have both (day and night) in 24 hours....in winters, we have long nights 5:30pm to 7 am and days are shorter like 7am to 5pm

@@Qwarzz I like the dark part of the day, so night is very relaxing for me...but having only dark for 6 months seems difficult..not have sunlight during winters is scary on its own. But that's cuz we have never experienced it, who knows maybe we get used to this 6 months thing once we see it

@@Qwarzz Exactly, I completely agree, living in Northern Estonia. It seems unimaginable to me to have the sun set every day at 6 pm and rise at 6 pm every day. I love having the big contrast between summer and winter. Tbh, it is kinda cozy (idk why) to have the sun gone by 3 pm in winter, although it does get a bit annoying at the end, but by that time the days are already starting to get longer. And the long summer days are obviously the best, and the fact that it never actually gets pitch-black outside, just a constant twilight from 11pm to 4am :) Obviously, for Kuopio, it's even more "extreme".
