I agree with Abbi about the risk and planning. MLMs pitch their product as being an investment that will pay itself off and make you rich with enough downline agents. They make it sound like there's no risk, that it will work out if you put in the effort, and they give you a method that they say works. This makes people feel like every dollar they spend with the MLM puts them closer to success.

That whole thing was total BS, because you know they didn't use any kind of scientific equipment to measure those so-called "frequencies." And for there to be a frequency, something has to be vibrating or oscillating. As a radio guy, I really hate it when woo peddlers use "frequencies" in a made up manner.

The person bringing up frequencies is not entirely wrong. Everything living does generate enough electricity to be measured, this is true. Out brains and nerves all use electricity to work, we do in fact create something at least measurable as electricity. Though it may not be a 1 for 1. What she forgets though is that essential oils are Dead... they do not generate electricity, and therefor do not generate frequencies as she is saying. Sure a spruce tree may but once you pulp it and squeeze the juice out of it... it's dead, the electricity is gone. On top of that, if you add energy to energy, you are right, you do have more energy... but if put two unnattached batteries next to each other, you do not have two more powerful batteries, just two regular batteries. You cannot slather more electricity into you. She also clearly doesn't know what a frequency is... but that's a whole other topic. My point is that by her reasoning (frequency meaning life energy) she's still wrong.

Okay, no. You know what? Let's look at this. First, no explanation, even a half-assed one, for how these 'frequencies' were measured, just an assertion that they have been. Second, if we have a 'frequency' of 0 MHz when we're dead, how do dried herbs measure in at 12-22 MHz? They're very dead. Third, if living things have higher 'frequencies' than dead things, why does fresh produce have a lower 'frequency' than dried herbs? Those fruits and vegetables have more life left in them than dried leaves. Fourth, if all of this is happening in (roughly) in the 5-27 MHz range, how in the _hell_ do some of these oils come in at over 200 MHz? Fifth, even if they do. Even if this nonsense had any truth to it. Why, then, would we want to consume something that is so far out of our 'frequency' range? That sounds like it'd fuck us up really bad. What this person posted doesn't even qualify as wrong. It's so nonsensical, so outlandish, so absurd that it's not even wrong.

The frequencies thing isn’t entirely pseudoscience. Certain frequencies that are too high or low for humans to hear can still have psychological and even physical effects on us. The Diatlov Pass Incident may have been caused in part by ultra low-frequency sounds of moving and shifting ice that can’t be heard by the human ear, but can still vibrate our bodies and cells in a way that can effect us, inducing severe anxiety in the young researchers. The stuff about certain essential oils and herbs and stuff having certain frequencies though…? That’s utter nonsense and woo lol. Also if you’re gonna look into the Diatlov Pass Incident, prepare yourself, it’s creepy.
