Fun fact... in the US, there's a motorcycle "gang" called BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) that will escort families to court when their children are testifying against abusers and will even camp out outside their house before, during, and after the trial to make sure the children aren't harmed. If asked, they'll even sit in the court room during the trial to make sure the kid isn't intemidated/harmed by the person(s) on trial. If I could, I would make an anonymous donation to them.

Some might call him a criminal for stealing a car, I call him a hero. The parents who left the baby in the car are the criminals. I hope he still stole their car after making sure the baby was safe and made a lot of money selling it for parts. Speaking of really weird car thefts... my cousin had his car stolen a few years ago. His car at the time was a piece of crap, not worth anything, the ignition was so busted you could actually start it with a screwdriver. The drivers side door was busted so he had to get in on the passenger side and scoot over the stick to get to the driver's seat. When his car was stolen he had just brought a brand new stereo system that was worth more than the car itself. The stereo system had been removed and was left behind in the parking space where the car had been stolen from. The only valuable thing in the entire car was left behind and the thief drove off with the shitty car. The police eventually found the car about a week later and returned it to my cousin. The only thing that would make this story even better is if the car had been returned in better condition than when it was taken but at least it was no worse off than it was originally and it's still funny that the thief actually took the time to physically remove the one thing that was actually worth any money when he could have just stolen the car with the stereo still in it.

I have some pretty bad nerve damage and childhood trauma... I was abused when I was younger and with me once the nerves start sending the pain signal to the brain they don't stop. For most people what I suffered through isn't even considered a big deal because "it only hurts for a second" or "they won't even remember it" but despite not even having memories of the abuse I do still suffer from the pain over 30 years after it happened. I even have medical trauma which was justifies as being necessary for my health when I later found out that painless alternatives have been publicly available since the mid 80's which means they had the technology to vaccinate me without painful injections my entire life but never thought it was important enough to actually tell my parents that option existed even as I was seeing a therapist for attempted suicide due to the constant pain I was in. The therapist even told me "that's just a normal part of growing up" rather than recommending painless treatments that were already available I was basically told to just suck it up and deal with it. Even if they had switched over it would be too late as the damage had already been done. And ever sense I learned that needle-free vaccines exist I've been trying to educate people that the option is available cause doctors will never even tell patients that it's an option unless you specifically ask them for painless vaccination options. It should be stand practice by now as needle injections are an outdated technology that use to be necessary but aren't anymore. They even have patches for the Covid Vaccine available which are safer and more effective than the injection. Anyway... where I live suicide, or assisted medical suicide which is what you're describing, are illegal regardless of any quality of health issues the person might be suffering from. Doctors would lose their license if they provided the service you're talking about. The best I can hope for is that they honor my DNR, the right to refuse life saving medical treatment, they can't do anything to directly cause my death, only allowed to indirectly let me die by doing nothing. The closest place I could legally qualify for the same procedure would be Washington state, I've looked it up, but it's also super freaking expensive and I'd likely have died of natural causes anyway before I could ever afford it. I live in a word that both tortures me to the point of wanting death while also telling me death isn't the answer. Well then freaking do something about improving the living conditions so I don't go to bed every night hoping that I won't wake up. My pain gets worse every year and the only thing keeping me going is the hope that my story would some day save others from having to live like this. I wouldn't wish even a second of the pain I'm in on my worst enemy. And yeah, I totally agree with the sentiment, we're all going to die some day eventually anyway so it might as well be on our own terms.

@XxTaiMTxX2 жыл бұрын
Man, that's a prime place to have a funny comeback line. Maybe yell something back at the kid, "Same reason your mommy didn't swallow!" Sorry, in all seriousness. Yeah, if it's mandated to wear masks, wear your freakin' masks. Heck, it was mandated here for a while and the first thing I did was buy some disposable masks and keep 'em in my car and wear 'em everywhere they were mandated. Didn't bother me at all. Sure, I had some breathing issues to start with, but once I figured out how to regulate the breathing and change my pace of walking, it really wasn't an issue. But, I mean, the whole country shut down for like several months and I was back to work within 3 days and my job was so vital that "working from home" was never an option. I didn't play it safe or anything though and never caught the virus (despite how unsafe I was, so probably immune through natural means), but I mandated all my employees stay the heck home if they didn't feel good. I don't care if you got an earache or a slight fever. You stay home. You aren't coming in to work to get any of us sick or potentially pass it on to anyone else. I may not believe or care in the covid junk and think it was heavily overblown... But, that doesn't mean I'm going to disrespect other people's right to feel and be safe when it really doesn't inconvenience me at all. Anyway, live and let live, I say. I got no more right to tell someone to not wear a mask than they have to tell me to wear one. Or to try to guilt me into either. But, if it's government mandated, then sure, whatever. Doesn't inconvenience me at all. If a place of business requires it for me to do business there, then I'll do it too. No big deal. But, given the choice... yeah, I ain't gonna wear it. Probably because I saw a documentary once on how condoms don't really stop viruses since the microscopic holes are smaller than the sperm... but still large enough to let the diseases pass through... and then they showed how easily a virus passes through paper and how much it really doesn't matter. The lockdown, by far, was the most effective means of combating Covid. Letting people spread it by giving them the false illusion of masks actually making a difference is just irresponsible. But, hey, what are you gonna do when businesses are collapsing and money is more important than lives?
@wdgaster77912 жыл бұрын
@@XxTaiMTxX You know, I was going to be upset at that comeback line, considering I'm not his mom, I'm his dad. Transmasc or not, but you got a chuckle from me. As for the Covid 'junk' being blown out of proportion? I literally lost my mom, a best friend, and my grandma thanks to it. All in the spam of two months last year. So that is a difficult topic in of itself. All in all you have good points and I wish people would just suck it up if it's mandated and quit being childish butts. But we live in a world where people are extremely self entitled and never learn u-u. Thanks for the convo though, you are surprising calm and chill.
@XxTaiMTxX2 жыл бұрын
@@wdgaster7791 It's okay man. I didn't want to make you upset or anything, but I can't resist throwing out one liners when I can. I never really understood all the "backlash" to the wearing masks and nonsense. I, personally, don't want to wear one, but it's not like it's inconvenient or anything. We worried a lot about people getting COVID and such where I work, so we did a lot of precautions for it. Hand Sanitizer every time you coughed or sneezed (something I made all my employees follow, whether they wanted to or not). If you're sick, you stay home. We did job interviews with masks on and we sanitized the space after every interview and every handshake. We didn't mess around with the stuff. I have no doubt that it was deadly. We had people in our office catch it and almost die. We had one of the tech guys I knew fairly well and interacted with often die from it. My doubts about it being "overblown" were when things got particularly nonsensical. Wear a mask, but you can still touch all the surfaces in the supermarket and "won't catch it". Umm.... What? Either it's deadly enough that masks made sense, and thus you should also not be touching every can on a shelf too... Or, the masks are useless and so it doesn't matter that you're touching a thousand surfaces in a public space that is only wiped down once a day. It got ridiculous to my opinion. Very inconsistent in the way it was treated and what precautions were necessary. Lots of incorrect information being distributed as fact from trusted places as well... from people who had no idea how diseases even operated, but were spouting on TV how they worked (incorrectly). COVID is deadly. It has killed people. Or, crippled some people likely for life. But, a lot of the information and "quarantine" policies we got? Basically freakin' useless once you understand how and why viruses spread. Which... sort of made me pretty angry about the whole ordeal. It's why I kept pushing for longer quarantines and shutdowns. Keep people at home longer, not interacting in public spaces. Keep people safe. Don't tell them they're safe when they're not just 'cause they're wearing a mask. Anyway, that's just my two cents on it.

@@wdgaster7791 covid sucks. Even after the "end" of it all, I still dread getting it because I haven't been able to get the vaxx. My mom actually has stories like the robbery that ended up actually giving stuff to the college student from her childhood. She grew up in what would generally be considered a bad neighborhood like that college student did, although they did own furniture and stuff, and one of her stories is about how they were robbed a few times and her and her 2 sisters took action. It was a quite a few robberies between their house and their neighbor's house within a couple of weeks that compelled her and her sisters to leave a note (like true queens) by their silverware because, you know, its like my mom also always says; that the robbers around those places are dumb because the people in the bad neighborhoods don't own any stuff that's valuable, so the most you're getting is silverware. Basically the note told anyone else who tried to rob them that they were wasting time they could be spending getting a job at the Dairy Queen down the road that even paid a dollar above minimum wage that could pay for their own set of silverware, to rob people who didn't have anything worthwhile to pawn off to buy essentials like food and water or keep a roof above their family's heads anyways. After that she doesn't remember getting anything robbed from their house or their neighbors houses for a while either so maybe the robber took their advice and got a job at Dairy Queen 😂

Mad props to the burglar for reporting CP. Much respect. I knew a girl in school who was saved from life as a s3x-slave because the drug dealer turned the parents in when they offered her in lou of payment. She was 5, she was also saved with her borther and two other kids. Not a single one over 8. If I could find that drug dealer, I'd give him a golden medal. He was willing to risk prison for the sake of saving those kids. He actually went down to the police station. They signed a deal where he wouldn't get in trouble for possession and distribution. In doing so they arrested the disgusting excuses for "parents." The girl was permanently fucked up from it though. She had been sold since she was 2.

Not so fun animal fact: Sea otters are so cute. They can also be aggressive killers. While female otters are adorable, it’s technically the males that you need to be wary of… There have been reports that these lovable sea otters are serial harassers. When males mate, they’ll grab the female and aggressively bite her face, they will also hold her head under water, which sometimes results in her death. And one more thing, just never look up what happens when they come across a baby seal…

The bird one is so wholesome. My friend messaged a few days ago a blue Jay had dropped an robin egg in her yard. I told her I'd come check it. No nest anywhere and the egg was clear when a light was shone through so no dead chick inside. Told her I give a shot hatching it but there's a chance it's already dead or a dud egg. Anyway 3 days later in a little basket with a small heat lamp on a thermostat and the egg is growing! Little ring of blood vessels and tiny embryo visible today and the 'yolk' doubled in size since this morning. I just might hatch a baby birb! Although it may be a starling and not a robin. Their eggs can be similar. But it's fairly pale and glossy. So leaning towards starling. Either way I'm excited

My grandfather had a chaotic good story that's kind of sweet. Back then in Germany there was a severe crisis and the price for potatoes was so high that normal people couldn't afford them. And many farmers actually took advantage of the situation to make lots of money. My grandfather worked for the local telecommunication center and therefore was often on the road checking the phone lines. When he learned that a farmer nearby was stacking potatoes, he paid him a visit to "check the phone lines" while a few colleagues opened the door to the storages. When he went back home, he got his wife and children (my father included) and they all drove to the farm in the middle of the night and stole the potatoes. They only kept two bags for themselves and gave everything else to the neighbors, to friends and other people who were too poor. When the police started to investigate, nobody said anything. When I asked my father if my grandpa did this only one time, he chuckled and told me "He grew up as a poor orphan and knew how to survive. He was an honest and very hard-working man, but he also knew how to outsmart others."

He was well enough to go to church where he was permitted to choose the gospel songs and talked to a great many people before he had to return to his elder residency. There, the other residents threw him a party with cake. First thing he did was to cut a slice for his favourite nurse who had an early shift the next day and bring that slice to the fridge. After completing that gesture he turned around and fell over dead. A stroke got him instantly. When it's my turn I hope I get a day like that as my last
