Fun fact: Frenchies are expensive because a reputable breeder takes them to a vet to be born because they can't be born "naturally." They, like most other bulldogs, have to be born via c-section to reduce birthing issues! They also have difficulties breeding naturally, and most are bred via artificial insemination. Having said that, plenty of Frenchies in rescues need homes for a quarter of the price of any breeder.

Yeah ... posts like these have been bugging me for years. Back in the 90s, my roommate was a nanny and was salaried at $180 a week. This was when minimum wage (in my area) was $3.25 an hour. I worked full time and my take home was usually about $100 a week and her $180 was so impressive to me. The idea that 30 years later there are people who think that $70 to $100 a week sounds reasonable is just ... wild. To put it in perspective, my take home was about $100 and I needed a roommate because rent on a one bedroom place was $300.

About half of them said they had some kinda payment plan deal, but I still said no because I can't do that either. Also, since it was for her daughter, its even more important to consider the budget since she is probably young, so its even mpre likely to be on impulse (Sorry for my bad english, it's my second language, i hope the meaning comes trough though) Edit: i forgot about the hobbies where equipment are your lifeline (for example: mount climbing) those are naturally exemptions, but i guess you get what i mean

I know right? Hang around, eat their food, crank up the AC, use their internet, play their video games, and have fun with their dog. I don't have any of those. I can play older games via emulator, and the only internet here I have is the free access for our entire complex. I'd jump at an offer like that. Oh best of all, I bet she has a pool or a bathtub. My unit does not have a bathtub, so I never get to chill out and meditate to music anymore, while relaxing my sore aching muscles.

27:32 - I'm sure it would cost more than 80 quid to drop off the rubbish at the local Refuse/Recycling centre, let alone cover the hours of work involved in cleaning that up.

1800 square feet is over 167 square metres - which is a fairly sizeable house (a 3-bedroom house is around 100-120 square metres) and he wants someone to paint all of that for $250? I'm assuming he's supplying the paint, rollers, masking tape, sandpaper etc, right? Because I don't know that you could actually buy enough paint for a 160+ square metre house for $250. And, of course, he's prepped all the surfaces himself, right? Because, as insane as it is to expect a professional company to *_paint_* a house for only $250, it would be bug-fuck *_CRAZY_* to expect them to prep *and* paint it for that price.

"Picky eaters" (adults/teens) are another term for people with the eating disorder know as ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, common in autistics/ADHD due to sensory disorders, people with allergies/intolerances/GI, neuro, & oral conditions), but yes, many entitled people have appropriated this term & turned it into a red flag for them too.

My autism went undiagnosed and then intentionally ignored/dismissed as fake even after my official diagnosis as an adult. I get really defensive when called a picky eater. I got blamed for it all the time by my parents, as if I were doing it on purpose. Now I just explain it to people as "my tastebuds just hate me. XD" It's more accurate about the source of the problem than "picky eater" and I can explain how much I WISH I could like strawberries and fish and all sorts of awesome foods. D:
@toomuchtime4896 Жыл бұрын
I'm not so sure about entitled people appropriating the term "picky eater" and changing its connotation, since it's not really an idiom in most use cases; it literally describes an eater who is picky. I think the red flag factor comes from the bad connotation the word "picky" just has in general. So it may be better to avoid the term when talking about people with ARFID.

Man, i got a good story like this. To make it simple: I made a site for an company in my hometown, trained the staff to use the site, the price was open because of the modifications (the more modificatio s after everything is done, the more it costs) after everything the owner said he would only pay 60 dolars, then paid nothing

to all the people looking for dirt cheap babysitters/nannies: i am 13 years old. i am babysitting certified. i charge $10, per hour, per kid. this is for a *13 year old* to watch your child, and i was told this was a good rate. you *can not,* i repeat, *can not* pay your babysitter $70 *a week.* some people *live from that money.* message over. stop trying to get dirt cheap childcare.

Tbh that first one doesn’t seem so bad. If it’s the summer and you haven’t got much to do it doesn’t sound so bad being in someone’s house with an xbox, switch and streaming services. Plus monetary compensation could come later on. I get that it’s a big ask but if someone’s willing to do it then no problem. And you get to play with a dog so I mean it’s all wins.
