I sort of did this when I was working in the galley on a ferry. It was a misshaped pizza that we couldn't sell. It was a quiet sailing so I baked it and gave it to one of the cabin crew to go give it to a random family in the cabin. When the EM came back up to the brasserie counter she literally threw it across the counter at one of my crew mouthing off she wanted a better one. Odds are this wasn't exactly a starving child that'd gone without any food for days so not like it'd be the end of them. Also in my case I'd say what about my crew mate that had some loon throw a pizza across the counter at her and proceed to rip into her? That crew mate that'd just gotten back from maternity leave and had been working a double sailing on a few hours sleep because her child had been ill the night before but didn't want to call in sick so soon after coming back to work. Among other misadventures they went through a drive through and Joker made a long-ass order in rapid fire. When the girl at the till couldn't process it (he went as fast as an auctioneer) he *demanded* to speak to the manager. While pulling up to the window he told people he knows why people wonder why he does what he does. Then he shot the manager and told Robin that he was living the American dream!

As an Indian-American, I can definitely say that my parents, if they had a son who was treating them like that cousin did around 12:46, would have disowned the asshole long back. There's almost always an unwritten rule, at least in Indian culture, of respect and decency that should be given from children towards their parents, so the sheer unbridled spoiling of that cousin wouldn't have been tolerated one single bit if any other related families had known about it, because they would've consequently known about their son's narcissism and arrogance. That family would've been the laughingstock of their community.

The fact that the dad litterly did nothing to help his daughter sickens me. Even after he got the full story, all he did was sit her down, say "sorry" and then tell her that she was still in the wrong for punching the woman who not only slapped her, but also mentally and verbally abused her, AND did nothing to help when she CLEARLY saw he being bullied by her son. Excuse me- what?! What type of father is he?! He's not even a father. Parents are supposed to make you feel safe and loved. He did neither. He pretty much ignored that fact that what his daughter did was self defense, and ignored the fact that his sister insulted both his child and wife. I get that it's his sister, but if my sibling has physically and mentally abused my child, you can bet they aren't ever going to be welcome back to our home anymore, and I'd make SURE that they wouldn't be invited to any further family events. If I were the daughter I'd do whatever it takes to get it through to him that it was self defense and how it was nothing compared to how the aunt had been verbally and mentally abusing her for the past years. If he couldn't get that? He'd be ignored by his own flesh and blood. I don't give a crap. I'm stubborn and can ignore people for years. I've done it before, I can do it again. My heart breaks for her. Any future birthdays now mean nothing. I cried while listening, no one deserves that. Especially a child.

My grandmother is an entitled jerk. Abuse emotionally and physically of me. Along with my aunt's and pretended that I was guilty about her behavior when I confronted her when I was 14. She cried and told my dad that I was a cruel and savage beast. That I deserved all the bad in the world. AND MY FATHER ACTUALLY BELIEVED HER!!! He wouldn't listen to me, I begged, I cried telling him what she did to me and there was no case. I tried to suicide 2 days after that And when I woke up in the hospital I just felt numb, so emotional empty and my mother gently, maybe for the first time in years asked me what happen. I looked at her and told her everything. Now, 13 years later my grandmother asked why we don't visited her in Christmas, or why I don't like her. She's so entitled that she still thinks she didn't do anything wrong And cries when none of her grandchildren visit her You get what you deserve, karma has been a b**ch with you and now I'm finally free of your bs.

I honestly avoided explaining about how kids in adoption also wish to have stable homes and parents so I would in fact rather adopt since they were acting righteous and all that bs I never tell them about my life goals anymore cause the job I wanna take isn't fit for a Muslim woman I honestly am so close to ghosting them for life as they are a big part of the cause of my depression and anxiety which they won't let me go to therapy for so yep. They made me quit drawing as it would divert my attention from school even though I was scoring pretty well . They made me stop singing as they thought it was wrong even though I loved singing as a young child so another hobby taken from me. They made me drop some of my friends cause they were a bad influence a.k.a they did not have the same ideological beliefs as us and they also never allowed me to go out with friends or invite them over for a sleep over because I was too young okay that was fine for some of these friends were literally friends with me since I was 3 so yeah cheers to social anxiety. The most satisfying thing about the revenge story is that it’s the aunt’s fault that she’s in her predicament, but she isn’t willing to admit that to herself. The father didn’t rub it her face, he just said that she didn’t have to live that way. She has a way out, but won’t take it because doing so would be an admission that she fucked up. That is not something she is willing to live with despite the fact that no one else would care. Not to mention that it would be a pinprick compared to what she did to the daughter for so many years, but she can’t even accept that. Not only can she not take from someone else what she dished out to the daughter, but she can’t even take it from herself. That’s how weak these bullies are, and it’s hilarious to watch them drown in their own hypocrisy.

When you were reading the story about the abusive aunt, my first thought was 'I sounded like a aunt straight out of a Indian drama.' being Indian myself I've seen how nasty mother in laws can be in many Indian families and how family members treat other cousins who are younger than them. As for the second story, are we sure this isn't a plot from a 90's Indian movie? Because I saw plenty of movies of nasty mothers being treated as slaves by their daughter in law and their son being fine with it because he's a spoilt brat....I always thought they must be complete works of fiction, with no basis on reality, (I am a British Indian who has never been to India) but more as I grew older realised these ridiculous things actually happened.

@@wta1518 It's common in basically all of South Asia not just India and most of it has died down (Mostly boomers and some malineals act that way and probably some Gen Z in tribal areas)... so it should be changing in next 5- 10 years

I can't believe the father told her it was still wrong. If she didn't do it, WHO would've? I cried for her. I would've glared at my father and asked, then who would've? She dragged me by my hair, scarred my mind, would tell me that everything was my fault and encourage her son and friends to make me feel like crap on my birthday. He's an awful person who I regretfully share the same blood with and she is sadly related to you as well. She insulted my mom, your past wife AND YOU EXPECT ME NOT TO SNAP?! You're right, that wasn't right, I should've spit in her face after I had hit her and went upstairs
