**If you can't cry in front of your significant other, you don't need to be in that relationship. **
@Kacszu9 ай бұрын
I mean yesn't. I don't think a man should cry because his job is to be the emotional enchor but at the same tine there are moments in life when a men even should cry like when his doughter gets merried or when his children are born. There are also moments when a men shouldn't cry. Like when a family pet dies because then his kids and wife need that emotional stability in form of a calm sad men that is not crying his eyes out because it calmes them down. Crying alone or better with your friends afterwards is for you to get those emotions out because your firends are the enchor in that case. At the same time this should not be a reason to look at a man like less because some times something breaks in all of us and you just can't stop the tears. What I try to say is saying that *if you can't cry in front of your significant other, you don't need to be in that relationship" is quite very much an exaguration. That's because as I stated before there are times where you shouldn't cry even thiugh you really want to for the sake of people around you. For the sake of becoming their emotional enchor that makes them more calm through being calm themselves. Having a deal breaker that your partner is your enchor in form of a calm stoic person is in my opinion very much reasonble and being so negative agaisnt it isn't quite reasonable. Sorry for my bad english not my first language and have a good day.

@@Kacszuoh my god, no. Just no. Men should be able to cry whenever they feel the need, their entire existence shouldn’t be boiled down to an “emotional anchor”! There are such things as overreactions, and every human has cried over silly things REGARDLESS of gender - but a pet dying!? Crying is a perfect reaction and if I were his wife or kids I would feel comforted by it because then I’d know we share the same feelings. A man can be vulnerable with the ones he loves and still be strong and protective of them. Being vulnerable with a loved one is something everyone in the world should be able to do. It’s something all humans need to thrive. The very least a loving wife can offer is a shoulder to cry on, just as a husband should offer her.
@Barbequed-Clorox9 ай бұрын
Sir, men are allowed to be sad when something saddening happens. Like the family pet dying. Showing emotion to your family is how you build a stronger connection with them, not show yourself as weak. How dare that woman call herself a “Christian” after saying this to her husband she should repent if she thinks this is weak. Did she forget the Lord wept himself so your calling him weak that’s blasphemy
@stephano10199 ай бұрын
Indeed. A men is allowed to cry for crying allows one to rid themselves of any pain and suffering they are keeping inside and we feel much better after it. And as you said Jesus himself cried so it's not like she has no excuse whatsoever to say that "Men shouldn't cry". Forgive me for going on a spat here but in Christianity we are allowed to cry for our cries are us humbling ourselves and when we cry unto the Lord we are admitting we're not perfect and he does not hold that against us for we humans are not yet he still loves us cause he knows we are trying our best to be strong, especially followers of Christ. It is why he is called the Prince of Peace and why you hear it either in Christian music or through the scriptures his love never fails and is unending for he is love incarnate. He loves us so much that he was willing to pay the price for our sins through Jesus Christ, his only begotten son who was the lamb that was slain so we can be saved and have everlasting life when we enter his kingdom.
@kingoffire1059 ай бұрын
I find it saddening that she despite being called a Christian thinks that men can't cry, and yeah Jesus wept. Now, I understand we all have sins and no one is perfect apart from Christ, but she seriously has some repentance to do if she is treating her husband that way. All in all, we ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And we need forgiveness through repentance from our savior Jesus Christ.

Horrible situation still because the girl got violated in one of the worse ways and the guy couldnt do anything and will probably have that guilt weigh on his head for the rest of his life, and both will most likely never trust another soul again. Overbearing censorship started becoming more common over the last couple years, and according to Reddit comments (I despise TikTok), it's because a lot of this stuff is being reposted from TikTok and their rules are stupidly strict and all over the place, so people just censor everything that might be even remotely upsetting to someone out there just to make sure their stuff isn't taken down. If that is true I honest to god can not see how that hasn't caused a massive amount of people to just switch to something else, youtube, insta, and snapchat have all ripped off TikTok, there's plenty of competition, why are people so glued to the one where you can't say "kiss" without swapping the I for an asterisk?

14:33 that’s what’s very dark about the Idol industry, especially in Asia. You CANNOT have any relationships that are not platonic. If you have a bf/gf or wife/husband you’ll likey not be hired or if word gets out, your career is over or heavily tarnished. You have to have this 24/7 wholesome innocent vibe with no scandals either and you have to look a very specific way. This applies to both men and women, even stuff like Vtubers. Obviously with Vtubing it can be different based on agency to agency, but a lot of agencies still require heavy supervision for their talent. It’s a very controlling and restrictive life style. A lot of these fans are terminally online and very lonely, majority male as well (heavily dependent on artist, but most Idols are girl groups IIRC). So they start having toxic fandoms and parasocial relationships where these fans pretend or even delude themselves into believing that their Idols are in love with them or would marry them specifically or whatnot. So when these idols do find love in their personal life this is a “betrayal” or “cheating” on the fans. In Japanese I believe the term is Seiso or “clean” or “pure”. If these girls even have hints that they are not virgins too, this can also negatively impact their career and they can be possibly blacklisted from the industry

The "only women can become pregnant" thing was in a quiz about "gender vs sex". it directly was about the concept of woman, as a gender expression. And yes, a trans man can get pregnant and is not a woman in the modern definition, which is a key thing to understand in the gender vs. sex debate. The teacher is correct in this case. Just like birds are dinosaurs, and Pluto is not a planet. Scientific consensus changes.

@@plertains The definition of pregnant is the same, but for a long while words "women" and "men" referred to gender and sex all the same, gender used to be equal to sex. In recent times, gender is being separated from sex, one is social, the other is biological. Woman refers to a gender, female refers to a sex. Yes, only biological females can get pregnant, but men can get pregnant too. Because trans men (biological females who transition into men) can still have some eggs that can be fertilized even after years of HRT, thus, getting a man pregnant.

Hi ailurus, loved the video. I did want to say one thing about the section at 0:29. It’s actually true that a biological male can get pregnant. There’s a condition called swyer syndrome where people with characteristics of the opposite sex are born with chromosomes that don’t relate. What I mean by this is that a person with xy chromosomes can be born with a full women’s reproductive system, which with the help of implanted eggs can carry a fetus. The high school student shouldn’t have been marked wrong because it does seem like a heavily politicized question, but it is actually true that biological males can get pregnant. Anyway that’s my 2 cents, keep up the good work.

0:45 You're missing the point. A man can get pregnant because "man" is a gendered term, not a sexed term. A man can get pregnant because they can be of the female sex but still a man. "Man" and "woman" refer to gender, not sex; that would be "male" and "female" If you had even bothered to read the article, this question was from a test called “Understanding Gender vs. Sex” in his Ethnic Studies World History class so OBVIOUSLY there would be the expectation to differentiate sex and gender. If you do not differentiate the two then you are wrong, even the vast majority of the medical field draws a line between sex and gender. These questions were made to get the students to be able to make the differentiation which is (reasonably) a part of the course material bc it is a part of the study and also a real and necessary distinction. I recommend everyone watch Hiding In Private's video on the distinction between sex and gender if they do not understand. TL;DR the student was wrong bc "man" and "woman" are gendered terms that do not suppose a specific sex.

Well it isn't women that can get pregnant, it's people assigned female at birth. Women are adults. We don't define adulthood based on age of fertillity. That would mean all girls who start their period would be recognised as women, and that's just a disgusting world I don't wanna be in. Some women don't even have the abillity to be pregnant, such as women who were born infertile or received injuries that led them towards infertillity such as the sadly commen issue of FGM. So to conflate womanhood with the abillity to get pregnant can be detrimental to the millions of women who are suffering with the inabillity to do so. It's just so reductive to boil down the argument to just that and only that when in reality the debate should be on women as women rather than what their expectations are. Also The New York Post is a hideously unreliable tabloid so any headline or article should be taken with enough salt to make the red sea jealous. It's basically Vice for stockbrokers who just learnt what a pronoun is.
