"Real victims dont forget what happened to us" I HATE THAT!!! Dissociative amnesia exists and is a real detrimental thing. With the statute of limitations, victims with dissociative amnesia have such a hard time getting justice when they remember what happened to them. Victims 100% can forget or block out what happened to them, some never get the memory of their trauma back until years upon years later or even at all. If you do remember what happened to you, you wont forget it yeah, but over time with therapy and healing the effects will fade until you're able to live your life without constant fear. Edit: To everyone in the comments here, I love you all! I truly hope you all get the help you need and the justice you deserve. Your experiences are valid and you're incredibly strong for surviving what you've gone through. From one abuse/sa victim to another, I'm supporting you in your healing journey

Yep. Literally have trauma that we still don't know about. And the worst of it is having ptsd level triggers but you do NOT get to know what they are. At all. So you can't even take advantage of trigger warnings. The statute of limitations is simply a way for criminals to walk away from their victims.

21:50 UGH, as an adoptee I hate this logic. So you're telling me the woman who changed my diapers, woke up at three am to hold me when I cried, taught me how to walk, took me to see every musical that came to town, taught me how to sew and how to brush my hair, made jewelry for me, took me on vacations, went to school WITH ME during a particularly bad time when I was afraid to go alone, bought me my first pair of high heels, talked me through my first period when I thought I was bleeding to death, cheered for me when I got my diploma, helped me advocate for myself when I started college, made it to every single one of my concerts or school musicals, attended my college graduation despite the fact that it was outdoors in 90 degree heat during a global pandemic, and was willing to take photos of the stuffed animal I made at Build a Bear for my 24th birthday despite me being an adult who some would say was 'too old' for such a thing...isn't my mom because I didn't come out of her vagina?

erasure poetry, also known as blackout poetry, is created when one takes an old text and blocks out certain words to turn the original passages into new passages with new meaning. it can be seen as collaboration, recycling or renewing old text to tell a new story, a way of concentration, and/or challenging the old passages. it is absolutely poetry, as poetry is any literary work centered around or intensifying the expression of emotions and ideas that's usually written with a distinctive style and rhythm. -sincerely, someone very passionate about literature

14:05 RWBY is an american made 3D CGI anime by rooster teeth. It's plot has slipped a fair bit since season 3, where series creator Monty Oum died before the season could be finished, with new writers and directors taking over beyond then... Also, as someone with *extremely* high pain tolerance (to the point where I actually can barely feel anything whenever I hit my toe in the depths of the night) barely feeling any pain or not feeling pain at all kinda sucks. Pain exists for a reason, it's literally a survival mechanism that lets us know that something's wrong with their body. The amount of serious injuries I could've prevented if only the pain kicked in sooner and I removed my limb faster is insane. Also it makes noticing internal issues a living hell because my "mild" pains and aches all turn out to be super serious issues that could've been prevented if only the pain, once again, kicked in sooner. Going to the doctor with a mild stomack pain only to find out that my stomack's acid has almost melted my insides and that I now can't eat most of my favourite foods because of how severely everything is already corroded is... fun.

Lissen, it's all about "caring about the babies" while they're still in the womb. It's important to hold women prisoners about what they can and can't do with their own bodies. Once the babies are born, they must be used whichever way the older generations see fit to ensure they can have more comfortable lives. Don't worry about the kids' suffering, because they should be grateful that they were even brought into the world and made to slave away for some wrinkly old grumps while experiencing the same miserable childhoods that they had. They're really only valued for their productivity, and should only ever be told that they're loved so that they'll stop whining. This is the conservative way. /s

As a chronic migraine suffer I can in fact say that needing to be keeled over in a pitch black room with a trash can is not the defining trait of whether something is a "real" migraine. There are different types of migraine with different severities and each migraine you get can be on a different level it can heavily vary between person to person. The main form of migraine I suffer from is vestibular migraines which is vertigo and nausea. They were bad enough that I had to drop out of regular school in middle school and move to online school because of how severe mine were before we figured out some good treatment and sometimes they still get that bad. Vestibular migraines are still medically classified as a migraine and is absolutely debilitating without treatment and still can be at times with it. And as I've gotten older I've been able to tack the headache variety onto my list of migraines. Both of these are usually made more tolerable when at their worst if I curl up in a quiet dark room but it's not always necessary. Loud sounds like loud music can trigger them along with lack of sleep but again the levels and causes can differ between people. The idea of someone trying to gatekeep freaking migraines of all things really ticks me offer.

I’ve tried to explain to my partner the differences between goths, emos, metal heads, punks, scenes, pastel goths, vamp goths, skater girl/boy, etc. and the only things that I can think of that is a clear distinction is clothes/makeup/hairstyles, but even those are not full proof ways of knowing. I remember the groups were very gate-keepy when I was in high school and I remember identifying myself as an “emo” but people said I wasn’t a true “emo” because my clothes matched more of a skater/grunge look. But then the skaters would tell me that I wasn’t a true “skater” (besides the fact that I couldn’t skate) was because I wore Converse high tops instead of Vans. It’s an all out war with trying to fit in somewhere and people get too territorial/emotionally attached to the labels. It’s just gotten to the point where I don’t care for labels anymore lol

But now I don’t care as much because I like my music and my style, there are some things I wish I knew how to do (like eyeliner or just makeup in general) because I feel like it would match my style better, but I definitely don’t fit into a single category anymore. The funniest part about gate keeping pain is that most of the people who live in agonizing pain 24/7, such as folks with severe CRPS (the most painful chronic condition known), recognize that others have very real pain that disrupts their lives. We know that while someone suddenly feeling what we feel would flatten them, *it flattened us in the beginning*. We’ve simply adjusted to that reality and thus can do more. But someone who normally has no pain suddenly breaking a bone or having horrific stomach pain, or whatever? That’s very real and very debilitating for them.

Gaterkeepers need to understand that just because they have arbitrary standards for things, it doesn't mean we have to follow them. And if we don't follow them, that doesn't mean we aren't what we say we are. *We* decide who we are. Its really stupid to think that your personal standards are automatically the rules, and it comes from having some sort of superiority complex. Which is decidedly, across the board, by all rational people, a bad thing.

Dr. Graham the religious dude, makes me agree, there's no way he earned a doctorate through educational merit, likely even solely based on religious education, as even Catholic archbishops know what religion really means, has done, and supports or not. Funny enough, conventional Jewish followers are some quite practical blokes at creating convenient ways to follow their religious interpretations. Sprinkles Vanilla Cupcakes 1 ½ cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder ¼ tsp baking soda ¼ tsp fine sea salt 2/3 cup whole milk 1 ½ tsp pure vanilla extract ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, slightly softened 1 cup sugar 1 large egg 2 large egg whites Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Line a 12 cup cupcake pan with paper liners. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a small bowl, stir together the milk and vanilla. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and sugar on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Reduce the speed to medium-low, slowly add the egg and egg whites one at a time, and beat until creamy, 1 to 2 minutes. Slowly add half the flour mixture, then the milk mixture, then the remaining flour mixture, beating until just blended after each addition. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners and bake until the tops are just dry to the touch, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 18 to 20 minutes. Transfer the pan to a wire rack and cool completely before frosting with vanilla frosting. *For high altitude baking make the following adjustments: Decrease baking powder to ½ tsp baking powder Use 1 less Tablespoon sugar Baking time may be a few minutes less. Check your cupcakes early. Vanilla Frosting 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, slightly softened but still cool 1/8 tsp fine sea salt 3 cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted 5 teaspoons whole milk 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and salt on medium speed until light and fluffy, 2 minutes. Reduce the speed to low, gradually add the confectioners’ sugar, and beat until incorporated. Increase the speed to medium, add the milk and vanilla, and beat until fully blended, 1 to 2 minutes, making sure not to incorporate too much air into the frosting.

The migraine gatekeeping pisses me off. I get aura migraines from time to time. This means I see a very weird glistening zigzag shape, taking up a very large portion of my vision, worst case making me only have vision in like 25% of my normal field of vision. For me (I'm not saying everyone gets it the same way) there's like a 50/50 chance I develop a "normal" level of migraine after that. Sometimes the shape disappears slowly with only a very mild headache. I have been questioned about calling it a migraine, but if you google it, the term aura migraine / migraine with aura is what it is called.

I often see a blue pulse of light. It flashes just once, and I don't always get them before a migraine, but when I do a migraine usually happens about 1-3 hours later. I consider it my body's way of warning me so I can somewhat prepare for the pain.
@DembaiVT
@DembaiVT Жыл бұрын
The thing is if you learn your auras and take meds immediately yiu can sometimes avoid the full blown migraine. I've had ones so bad I ended up in hospital. I've also caught them early enough that I've taken pain meds, lay down and it didn't develop. One pill won't fix the full blown one. But it may stop one from happening. So defining migraines only by the ones you let hit the max pain value before treating is nonsense and might be doing more harm than good. Treat the moment you feel pain and treat it as seriously as you would the full blown thing. You can sometimes catch it in time. It's never worth waiting.
@JUMALATION1
@JUMALATION1 Жыл бұрын
@@DembaiVT I tend to take ibuprofen right away but sometimes that will not work. Also, I don't think anyone wants a migraine to hit max pain lol Edit: also sometimes I'm in a position where I don't have access to pain meds, that's how I learned about the 50/50 thing

@@DembaiVT Plus headaches and migraines are a 'per person' thing. What one person considers a migraine might be a normal headache to someone else. I know, because I'm like that. I also know that, no matter how bad mine get, there's someone else out there that'll scoff at it and call it a regular headache.

Yeah, as a man, I apologise for those guys who express guilt on behalf of their entire gender like that. But to be fair, I too often hear about how a lot of women (still unsure if most) go through such agonising pain on their periods, so I prolly would have made the same mistake if the women in my family didn't tell me it's not that bad for them.

@@ARCtheCartoonMaster It's alright, as a species when somethings not all that bad we don't really talk about it. But when crap hits the fan, suddenly everyone talks about it. It's a common mistake as it is nature to express pain. TLDR I forgive yall its nature.

Not to mention, things like ADHD and Autisim exist, which makes subs harder to watch for some people because they might not be able to process the subs fast enough, or trying to keep their attention on something 100% of the time is literally exausting.
