Exactly! They were from the republic and were used by the inhibitor chips to kill the Jedi and soon many of the clones passed and were replaced with either regular people or droids. Most sad story of Star Wars was the tragedy of the clone troopers.

@@Axemcaxington the stormtroopers are regular people fighting for the empire because they want to feed their families and some don’t even have a kill count because they’re just cleaning a ship or something. The clone troopers were before that time in the republic when Jedi weren’t a rare sight. They were made in labs on Kamino by the kaminoan scientists. The clones were made from the dna of Jango Fett and had their ageing process accelerated. They also had inhibitor chips placed in their heads which the Jedi did not know about. These chips eventually forced them to execute an order ‘order 66’ to be exact and they were forced to kill their Jedi generals and commanders. Some clones like Captain Rex and Commander Wolf were helped by the Jedi to have their chips removed or had some other process allowing them to break free from the chips. They are NOT the same as stormtroopers because stormtroopers do everything by choice. Clones don’t know any better than to fight for the republic. Btw: yes I am a Star Wars nerd. Deal with it.
