The fact that the woman had to choose between child and meth and her child is gone now is like... if she is choosing meth over her child, she shouldn't have a child.
@18Hongo3 жыл бұрын
It's the mindset of an addict. She's constantly worrying about where her next fix is coming from; if she can just get another hit, she can sort herself out, get a job, get her child back, be a parent, be normal... If only she can get her next fix. There's obviously an element of denial there too; she doesn't want to accept that the meth is bad for her, because if she did, she'd have to accept all the damage she's done to herself, and recognise that it was all done for something that did her no good in the long run. In short, she's not thinking like someone who isn't an addict. Addiction will do that to you, and it will take priority over everything else in your life. So no, she shouldn't have a child. She's unwell, and she's not capable of taking care of one.

the "trend" with the LGBTQ community is that we're simply becoming more confident. People are figuring out their identities easier because they're now backed by hundreds of other people just like them. This part is the part that really confuses me. I'm a religious person, but technically, this isn't really true. Because symbols are used all over the world for things. For example, the skull and crossbones (the body of a person, which in my religion at least, is a gift that god gives us during the time we live on earth) is used for poison, a substance that can be used to kill people. A commandment (don't remember which one) tells us not to kill. So logically, saying that 'the gays stole the rainbow (which is a gift and a promise from god) from god' is true when 'paracelsus (i think) also stole (a representation of a gift from god) from god.' It really does sound kinda mad. It also sounds like a joke. People who take it seriously can be seen as mental.

Fun fact: The scripture from Deuteronomy that says a man should not lie with a man as with a woman and calls it an abomination? The original Hebrew uses different words for the first "a man" and the second. Specifically, it says an adult man should not lie with a male child as with a woman. This was written about the same time that the ancient Hebrews came in contact with the ancient Greeks, who tended to have an adult male train a male child in the way of sex by having sex with them, and the Hebrews didn't approve of that for basically the same reasons that we don't approve of that and call it pedophilia and have laws against it. Also, women aren't mentioned. Where is the biblical commandment against lesbian sex? There isn't one anywhere in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). [Edit: fixed previous sentence.] So the Bible doesn't actually say anything against consenting adults having same-sex intercourse for love. It's always lust that is being condemned.
@eMorphized3 жыл бұрын
Does the word Yeled even appear in that passage? I think a better interpretation, given the male noun gender is always inclusive, would be that you should not lay with your servant as with your spouse.

@@eMorphized I don't actually know Hebrew, much less ancient Hebrew. I'm repeating a fact I heard from what I thought was a reliable source (two, actually). I'm perfectly happy with the 'servant' explanation as well; morally and ethnically, that's a good lesson, too.

That's not true actually it's addressed in Romans 1:26-27. *26* _Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their w omen exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones._ *27* _In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error._ I'm not telling you what my beliefs are or what you should believe; but if you're Christian you shouldn't compromise your beliefs at all, if your God says something is wrong you shouldn't compromise that for the modern world or try to twist your religion's beliefs to fit your political beliefs, another thing it's considered wrong because sex for pleasure alone is in their view wrong which is why the Catholic, Orthodox, and most Protestant churches condemn condoms and birth control too, they consider that sodomy. However most of these churches besides some nutty southern Protestant churches also think people with homosexual desires should be chaste. Don't compromise your beliefs for anyone.

14:56 well basically the horizon forms a circle around you whenever you're on earth. At sea level, you are nearly level with the circle so it appears to be a line. As you move upward, the circle would become further and further below, so looking down you would be able to see it all curve down in an equidistant circle.

Living Waters had a conversion therapy section of their “ministry”. Honestly when you know something about the meme it sort of pulls you out of the funny part. They have caused a lot of harm to LGBT folk out there. I’m am sorry for anyone who has been forced through their programs, particularly a good friend of mine. I even had an interview with them and luckily did not get involved.
@18Hongo3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they've also made some films with very damaging messages, including "If you're gay you're basically like a murderer" and "Jesus can cure your depression". The films themselves mostly consist of Living Waters leader, Ray Comfort, doing man-on-the-street interviews with people too stoned to tell him to go away, who end up agreeing with him mostly to get him to shut up.

Their narcissism, their religion, or their community will tell them they're doing the right thing. Their belief in a "just world" tells them if they're vigilant about doing the right thing, they can avoid negative consequences. Narcissists in particular don't think of their kids as thinking feeling humans independent from themselves; when the world revolves around you, of course it's a surprise when something intentionally removes itself from it. ("the world" in this case being the narcissist's sphere of influence)
