R. Kelly and girlfriends deny claims he lured them with promises of singing careers

R. Kelly was arrested Wednesday in Chicago after he failed to pay the more than $161,000 he allegedly owes. Kelly also faces 10 charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. The two women Kelly lives with, Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage, were in court as he was arraigned on those charges last week. Their parents say they believe the singer has brainwashed them. Gayle King asked R. Kelly and the women about allegations he lured women with promises of helping their singing careers. Clary and Savage deny they have singing aspirations. Jericka Duncan reports.

Joycelyn’s microexpression when asked by Gayle if she had singing aspirations actually indicated YES. As I noted in their first interview vid, Joycelyn seems to follow Azriel’s lead. I wonder if Robert “put her” in some sort of position of leadership, giving her a [simulated] sense of control. It would explain a lot, including why Joycelyn sounded the way she did (turned up) when speaking to her mother on the phone after the interview. I think Az is so angry because she resents for parents (likely for many reasons), and she does not want to return to them, EVER. Even if she wishes to leave Robert’s home, it seems she’d rather have some semblance of control than feel none at all. There are many similar cases. Anyhow, I think both sides have some truth to it, but the real story is in the grey. But whatever the truth, I guarantee it is sad.

If the family unit was strong and healthy, close relationships then these daughters will not go and be with R Kelly. There is more than what these families are admitting too.
