In my hischool they were either cleaning or painting the walls. The thing is the door was wide open. Someone came in, stole a defibrillator and we were out one. My french class teacher (who is also a vice vice principal or some person high up in duties) told us and that these things have serial numbers. So if you try hand one in or sell it they can prove who it actually belongs to. On a less serious note I saw in Nice France that they put up towers with tools for cyclists to quickly fix their bikes. When I told my brother his immediate response was: "I'd steal all of it. If it was here in genova it would be fully ransacked." which is not possible as the tools are attached to the pole thingy so you'd have to cut them from it quite literally giving people time to call the police on you. Also for what? A screwdriver and a bike pump? You seriously gonna steal a screwdriver as if those aren't dirt cheap already?

The worst for me was when I tried to apply for a job, and they asked for the EXACT dates I started and finished high school. They didn't want the diploma, they wanted it dated down to the day. And of course, my dad tried to help me because we (like everyone else) only remembered the years I was in high school. He searched every scrap of my school papers from as far back as he could find, and didn't find a single one that was from day 1 of high school. They didn't hire me because I literally couldn't fill out all the required information. My dad said he's never seen any other place do such a thing.
