Finally a two up test ride. I want to share that I was purchasing this bike as an upgrade from my Tiger 800 xrx low. The adaptive ride height and low seat was the deal sealer for me. Then I took my wife on a test ride. I am 5’5” 30 inch inseam and can almost touch flat footed! She is also small and unfortunately with the difference in seat height from the passenger she towered over me. She didn’t like the ride. Unfortunately we are too small. I was bummed because I feel this is the perfect bike! If I wasn’t taking a passenger this bike would be in my garage! Great review thank you and your comments are spot on!

Thanks for the feedback! If you are going to purchase this together it has to be right and if you guys just can't work with the ergonomics than it's not for you. The adaptive ride is pretty cool, what will you be looking at now?

We just do mountain roads and some basic dirt roads that cars can drive to pick up our wine shipments. I like a more upright seating position. We are getting a new R1250RS with the off road handlebars. It fit us really good and is more manageable. I really want to thank you and all the other content creators. I have read and watched hundreds of reviews! Not to mentioned test road everything I could!

It's funny you mention the KLR650. I've ridden one for nearly 20 years. Love my KLR but the KLR ain't that bike, for sure. I have been looking at a touring type bike for my wife and me. We like this type of bike given that it feels familiar to us. Still, not sure if a few hours at highway speeds on one of these would be too much for a passenger. The obvious alternative is a Goldwing, a very different bike.

Most definitely would need a bigger displacement bike than the KLR. Could you do it? Yes. Two up and loaded down at 27 mph, or something. As with anything, what are you really looking to do with it. Touring? 1300 has all the power in the world but comfort, especially for your wife...I know I wouldn't want to sit on that little seat for days on end. My buddy Eric has a Goldwing, thing is sort of like if a car were a motorcycle. Depends on what you want I guess.

@@MotoBeemer That's exactly the sort of thing I need to know. My search will continue and your video has given me food for thought. We have done riding on the KLR but I prefer not to lay on the tank while doing it. Also, we don't go far and we don't pack for a trip. She wants to go on multiday trips so the KLR is not the right tool for the job.

Happy to finally see a two up review. In your honest opinion the 900 gsa 1250 gsa or the 1300 gs what would be the best option for my first adventure bike going from a cruiser

@@MotoBeemer more for taking long trips not really for going off road. Taking trips to cali to ride up the coast to riding to Colorado to the mountains

@@damenbartling I would go GSA all day, the 8 gallon tank is so money. The 1300 is great; but the front end feels very small while in the saddle (windscreen etc). Long hauls, load that GSA down and go for it, even a few dirt roads.

I’m pretty sure you can turn it off, by that I mean I have no idea but the folks at dealership mentioned something about it. It is sort of annoying, I agree. Let me know what you think of it in person, I was pleasantly surprised.

@@MotoBeemer So just got home from Gulf Coast BMW. I wasn't able to ride but did sit, very comfortable like my 1250. I like the way it looks from all angles except that headlight I just can't, I really tried. When I was shopping two years ago it was GS or Multistrada. That V4S today look extremely sexy next to the new GS, now that they are close in pricing I'd have to go Ducati. I'm being shallow here but that light wrecks me man..

That rear seat is significantly smaller than the previous generation and will not accommodate many

I noticed it was shaped differently, instead of "flat" like the GSA there appears to be a mold to fit the rider's butt better.
