hey mate big fan of the Hilux I'm curious how much it's worth now and how much it was when you bought it if you don't mind. I love these 1st gens but my budgets around 5k - 10k depends if I buy myself a boat I really wanna do you what you've done and do one up since I'm a young bloke I think it's a perfect mechanically simple car and perfect for learning. I know if I were to buy one I'd need to spend heaps on rust repairs and all that sh*t but I think it'd be a good buy. sorry feel like I just told you my whole life story haha

Hey mate, Luke got the car for a steal as it had a blown motor and the tray had been ripped off in a crash. I don’t recall how much it was, but it was less than 5k. As for the motor swap and suspension build, most of it was as cheap as possible, I think the build would have been less than $1500 as we used as many contacts as we could to source parts and anything we couldn’t find we just made it from scrap or spare parts we had laying around. I’m sure you’ll enjoy whatever you find! Good luck mate!
