I have to be honest. So far intercorrupted has been my favorite off the new album. No disrespect to Sahaj and the band. I'm a huge fan. I follow Sahaj on IG and we've exchanged messages a few times. He's a super nice guy. Great dad. Truly humble. I will forever enjoy Ra music but for some reason the new "sound" of this latest album is not what I expected. His voice is at an all time high but the collaborations with other vocalists is just strange sounding. The one with Dustin I couldn't understand half of what Dustin was saying. Critical mass and black sun are amazing albums. To me anyway. I'll probably get some hate for this but I'm just stating an opinion. I'm sure I'm in the minority. I was just expecting more of their classic rock sound. This is very "ballad-y".

Totally respect what you're saying. You might change you're mind over time but either way its cool. Almost each song on this new record has a past record cousin or template... Inter/DYCMN, Mexico/Rectifier, Jezebel/Brutiful/Police stuff, Til you die/a poets dream/crawling to the sky, Somewhere Beautiful/Sky, I can't go on/supermega, let it lie/tragic empire, enough/superman, nobody loves you/busted... That said, my writing has evolved in the 8 years since CM. This is what moves me now and its cool if it doesn't feel right to you. I get it.

@@Sungodrock I never make a hard stand after one listen. Jezebel is a good track. I also respect a musicians right to evolve and not stay with the sound that made them famous. Take for instance Theory of a Deadman. Now they're known as simply Theory. Their last album was nothing like anything they've ever done and they got loads of hate for it. Me personally I felt it was the best sounding record they've done to date. So yeah I'll always be a Ra fan. If you guys your in 21/22 and it's near me I'll be there. 🤘🤘

@@my95buick Hey Kenneth, ill be honest, after hearing Intercorrupted and Jezebel, I was expecting a harder album. When I first heard it, I was a little disappointed, too. But, I listened to it a couple more times, and in a comment I made on another video, with more bass, because, to me, it's the way the bass sounds and reverberates in some of their songs, and it grew on me and I love this album. And im a huge fan of Critical Mass. And I dont know if you watched the virtual concert, but its something special how clean and tight they sound. It was disappointing that they only played 2 songs from the new album when I thought they were supposed to be promoting it? But give it a couple go around and maybe it'll grow on ya

What's also funny to me is that so many people talk about Duality but there isn't even 1 heavy song on that record.... Maybe The Only One??? This record has Inter/Jez/Cant go on/Let it lie and then one notch below that is Loud and Divided. Then Enough and Somewhere Beautiful are the epic chorus jams... CM is the only album that legit leaned heavy. It also did the worst both in sales and streaming. I'm not really arguing as much talking but when I go back to Black Sun and CM, I hear filler tracks... And I wrote them!! I don't feel that this time but I still sound like I'm trying to convince, which I'm really not.

@@Sungodrock Man your intro vocals on I lost everything today was my ringtone for a long time. Ra raw the unplugged album is great too. Skorn live. Wow. The 24 second high B insane! Like I said. I will listen to the new stuff entirely. I've only heard what's been dropped on youtube. For what it's worth I like everything from Weird Al to Lamb of god. So nah man, you aren't convincing me lol. I'm a true fan. Just a normal dude who likes cars, fishing, football and beer. If you're ever in Memphis, holler
